Can latanoprost 0.005% and 1% sodium carboxymethylcellulose with stabalized oxychlora complex 0.075mg, boric acid, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium borate & sodium chloride be used together safely? My pug has KCS-black pigmentation with completely white background behind it.Tried to click photos.Few hrs after applying cmc liquigel drops I'm observing he's unable to see properly and confused.Cleaned with water slowly he was able to see.Is this side effect? No eye facilities in my state.
My bullmastiff was diagnosed with a cornea scratch 1 week ago. She came home with tobra and atropine drops. We stopped the tobra today since it said for 1 week. Still on the atropine which I'm not excited about but she is still really spasming her eyelids. She is also now doing her "good" eye that way. I'm assuming because of how hard she is spasming her affected eye. My vet is closed for the holiday and I was just wondering if there was something else we could do to help relax her eyelids.
Vet has me giving my dog artificial tears solution polyvinyl alcohol 1.4%. It looks like the brand has discontinued it or has a shortage. What should I look for when deciding on a new artificial tear? I can’t find one with the polyvinyl alcohol. (Also taking tacrolite)
My 7lb. poodle injured her right eye. The damage looks like a scratch. Her right eye is/was being treated with BNPH Antibiotic Eye w HC 3.5g. Her eye appeared dirty so I kept washing it and applying the ointment. The eye began to atrophy. The same Vet that prescribed the ointment, now says that Emma’s right eye is dead. Is there anything that can be done to revive it? Holistic or otherwise? What about vitamins that can help strengthen the eye?
Eden has been prescribed fusidic acid for a corneal ulcer that i need to administer twice a day in both eyes. Im not sure the best way to give it as i dont have any help and she keeps her eyes closed all the time. I can get them open with a damp cottonbud but i need a third hand for the medicine? She is about 6" 64g Thanks
Two kittens of her has swallen eyes. One kitten has both eyes swallen but open, the other has one and is closed still ( 3.5 weeks old ) . I read opticlox ointment could be used however no vet is nearby . What can I use to substitute that from the human drug store ?
I was wondering if there is an over the counter version of Tobramyacin 0.5% drops, that would sphere safe for kittens?
My puppy has an ulcer on her left eye, which we discovered Friday morning, we went to a vet the next day on May 19, + they put in dye (1st pic) + we were prescribed 5mg prednisolone to take 1/day for 2days then .5/day for the next 2, as well as ilium opticin (ointment) 4x/day for 2 days then 3x a day thereafter which we have been doing. I was wondering (based on the 2nd and 3rd photo) how much longer I should be giving her the ointment and when I can take her cone off. Thanks
Took our cat to the vet since her third eyelid was covering half her eye since last one week even when she is active. Her appetite has decreased slightly but she is active otherwise. The vet has prescribed eye drops TOBA DM to be put thrice a day. Is it the right medicine? Is it a life threatening disease? will it affect her vision? How long will it take for her to recover fully? Please advice.
My puppy has mild conjunctivitis in one eye. What OTC remedy can I use to treat it?
Hello! please help me. My cat has has a right eye problem. After showing him to an ophthalmologist, the doctor said that it is iridochorioiditis and she prescribed the following eye drops: Maxitrol, Diclofenac, Solcorine - three times each a day. After the first day of using these medication, my cat's eye seemed better. But today the pupil of is eye turned completely black and he cannot open it due to pain. The eye is also swelling. I am very afraid. Please, help me.
My dog was using tacrolimus drops but they are expensive. Can I use instead Refresh Tears lubricant eye drops?
