my dog has dry eye .5 Vet gave me optimmune ointment that is sooooo expensive. Is there any human dry ointment that is a lot less expensive that I can use
My 7 yr old Havanese has had a cherry for about 5 years and sometimes she rubs and scratches it and it can get inflamed. A canine ophthalmologist once prescribed Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Opthalmic Suspension, USP and I put one drop in her eye three 3 times a day and her eye was better after a couple of days. Is there an OTC eye drop or ointment that would help her if she rubs her eye and it gets irritated? Would Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment help and is it safe?
Can latanoprost 0.005% and 1% sodium carboxymethylcellulose with stabalized oxychlora complex 0.075mg, boric acid, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium borate & sodium chloride be used together safely? My pug has KCS-black pigmentation with completely white background behind it.Tried to click photos.Few hrs after applying cmc liquigel drops I'm observing he's unable to see properly and confused.Cleaned with water slowly he was able to see.Is this side effect? No eye facilities in my state.
My dog has dry eye and gets tacrolimus ointment.03% 2X a day. In the morning her eye is crusty from the residue. It is difficult for her as I clean her eye Tim with a soft cloth and water. Is there a product I can use that would not be as crusty?
After eye ointment (amacin) cat seems to be very squinty, after an hour still squinting. Prescribed yesterday, (for 2wks) same problem last night after application and this morning, unable to call vet late in the evening :( Also being treating with DermOtic for ear mites Trying to find info on any bad reactions to eye ointment, unsure how to tell if eye is irritated from cream, or if maybe allergic reaction? Freckle? Darkish brown/red colour. Should I keep using this ointment? or wash out?
May I know the name of the eyedrop that are considered best in order to heal corneal ulcer?
My dog have an eye problem. What eye ointment o drops can i give to her?
Our boy has just had surgery to secure the third eyelid over his eye to aid the healing of an eye ulcer. We have been told to continue putting Chloramphenicol ointment into the affected eye twice per day. It is difficult to get the ointment into his eye now - he is having trouble blinking and the paste just seems to sit on the eye. I have just asked my vet if it comes in a drop form as this would be easier to administer, but they have said no, I need to persevere with the ointment - any advice?
Vet has me giving my dog artificial tears solution polyvinyl alcohol 1.4%. It looks like the brand has discontinued it or has a shortage. What should I look for when deciding on a new artificial tear? I can’t find one with the polyvinyl alcohol. (Also taking tacrolite)
My 7lb. poodle injured her right eye. The damage looks like a scratch. Her right eye is/was being treated with BNPH Antibiotic Eye w HC 3.5g. Her eye appeared dirty so I kept washing it and applying the ointment. The eye began to atrophy. The same Vet that prescribed the ointment, now says that Emma’s right eye is dead. Is there anything that can be done to revive it? Holistic or otherwise? What about vitamins that can help strengthen the eye?
Eden has been prescribed fusidic acid for a corneal ulcer that i need to administer twice a day in both eyes. Im not sure the best way to give it as i dont have any help and she keeps her eyes closed all the time. I can get them open with a damp cottonbud but i need a third hand for the medicine? She is about 6" 64g Thanks
Our 16 year old lab mix has been treated for glaucoma for over 6 months but today was a marked change. She can't see at all---runs into everything just walks room to room. We give her Latanoprost Opthlalmic Q12 hrs. Yesterday at the vet her pressures read 11 (bad eye) 8 (bad). At the beginning they had been in the 40's, She's extremely agitated, can I give her one of my Ativan till we speak to our vet? It's 1mg.
