How to keep my cat warm in winters? do they need somecare?? btw house not internally heated
My outdoor cat has been diagnosed with leukemia. It is supposed to be 7 degrees tonight & 5 degrees Saturday night. I have built her a insulated cat shelter with a plastic container & insulation boards inside with silver paper on the inside of the shelter. I have a towel & pet blanket inside the shelter. If I put the cat shelter & my cat inside my unheated toolshed for the weekend to keep the breeze off her, will she survive 5 - 7 degrees nights?
I got a wooden house for the dog, i will put warm blankets on the inside, and her pillow/bed on the inside. The door is plastic three stripes. Can I leave her to sleep and stay at the balcony at night or during the day ? temperature goes down to -5 celsius
I’ve recently adopted a dog that was running around my neighborhood. He’s been neutered, he’s well behaved, and he seems to just want love. My concern is the weather. He seems to want to live inside, but that isn’t a possibility in my current situation. Is an insulated dog house, with cedar chips, sufficient to protect him from the elements?

In a cardboard feral cat shelter (I temporarily have no other solution) would it be better to use clothes as padding/bedding or nothing at all since I have no access to straw, insulation or hay? What else could I use to make my cardboard shelter as durable as possible? I already have a plastic lid taped on top, plan to put bricks underneath, and then place the whole thing under my deck. I might put some baking soda around to repel bugs but I don't want to affect the cats. Thanks!
We have an occasional nocturnal feline visitor who sleeps on our patio to stay dry. We cannot bring this car inside, as we have a greyhound and Siamese and our apartment complex in Philadelphia, PA allows only two pets. Hello.I really want to get a dog (puppy), but because of religious reasons I'm not allowed to keep one inside the house. Recently we built a porch (covered by glass from all sides) in our backyard. It is still a piece of the house. It is very cold here at night (in the Netherlands).
