Hi is it ok to use special odour preventers to help prevent odours in cat litter boxes?I found this in Walmart is it a good brand?not quite sure
I have a cat who seems to be refusing to use the litter boxes. He is older(over 14). I clean the boxes every other day. We have tried attractants, putting a car mat down, cleaning the boxes themselves, using odor/pheromone 'destroyers', and yet he still peed on the mat. I use the Arm & Hammer clump and seal for litter. What more can I do? Should I remove a couple of the doors on the covered boxes? Should I clean the boxes daily? What can I do?
Adopted 3mo kitten use to paper pellet litter. Always uses litter box. I'm trying to find non dusty, I live in single wide trailer, clumping and unscented. What do you suggest I try?

Our cat Garu suffers from feline pica. He is 2 years old and neutered. He only used clay clumping litter up until now. But today we bought silica crystal litter from the brand Pestell for him. We put the crystal litter on the litter box and he immediately started to eat it. The litter is made of big silica crystals and some are blue to indicate the time to change them. He would chew multiple crystals at the same time. We removed some but he still swallowed a little. Is it harmful?
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
Hey there! I've got a large Ragdoll (we think) cat that is roughly 10 years old who stopped using his litterbox for anything other than urine starting about 6 weeks ago. Always at night, when we're asleep, usually every 2-4 days, he goes on a binge poop, dropping of "presents" (ranging from hard/dry to wet/soft) on our front porch mat, my office rug, the hardwood floors along a wall, by the litterbox, on the rug by his feeder. No changes to clean litter situation or diet in over a year.
My cat is 7 & is heavy (15# instead of 12/13). The last few months, he's been urinating in the hallway off & on, & he was vomiting occasionally. His vet ran bloodwork (not sure what tests), said everything looked normal. They couldn't get urine. We tried Clavamox, thought may allergy, so switching food to Instinct. I've been cleaning his litter box more, especially since his poop smells foul the last couple days. There's 1 other cat in the house & 3 litter boxes (1 ea floor). What else can I do?
What's do you think about the soft wood pellets used in fireplace' but used for cat litter. I am also considering of buying a litter box that has a sifter underneath. I have purchased some at Canadian tire and it is called Surefire wood pellets
Hi, I find myself having to vaccum the entire appartment twice a day because of my cat's litter spreading everywhere as soon as she does her business and exits the litter box. This is too much maintinance especially when I only have one cat. I have a litter matt and a big closed litter box to minimise spread of litter but still this happens everyday. I had great advice from your side for my allergic cat,who now has skin problems that might be from his litter,(he doesn't have flees or other problems,only allergy),but the litter I used is now not available,it's produced specially for one place that now don't have it,i've red for Tigerino nuggies litter that is most similar to mine,I use only small granulated pure clay,but the new one is only with aroma,is it safe to use aromatic litter for sensitive cat,or any advice for safe litter,thank you
