will this fit part of my aquarium inside dimentions 35 1/8"x11 3/8" dimention tank is 36"x12"
- Sadly, no it doesn't sound like it. It fits my 20 gallon long perfectly, but dimensions of my tank are: 12-1/2" deep x 12-3/4" high x 30-1/4 wide.

How do you trim the plastic piece? I've tried w household scissors & they can't cut through the material. Aqueon should provide better guidance to customers both on how to cut the excess away and how to most easily get the plastic piece fit on the glass…
- yes, it can be a pain..i use a small hack saw...you can try a very sharp knife but it can be tricky...

What are rhe measurements of the lid?
- It measures 29”…. I used 3 different tape measures. I have to return.

Yes but I'm trying to see if it will fit before I purchase. So I'm trying to see if it's 12" without the backstrip on and then with the strip on it adds about another 2" or ots 12" total with the strip on

Someone gifted me a tank. The measurements inside (not including the lip where hood rests) is 29.25" X 11.5". The tank is 25 gallons. Will this fit?

This is a terrible glass top. The plastic piece does not slide on and I tried to cut it to fit my filter and you cannot cut it. What are you supposed to cut this with? I tried very strong scissors. I tried a carpet cutter. Nothing will cut this plastic.
- I use tin snips and they work perfectly, especially if you also have the left and right cutters

We have four cardinal tetras, three glo danios, three glo tetras and a albino Cory cat. They are all the type to only get an inch to two inches long and so we have them in a twenty gallon tank. Have gravel and silk/plastic/resin/and live plant/decor and proper filter/heater/air. We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.
