I bought fish food and glo fish this trip. Spent over $300.00 on a complete fish tank. Went back for food and the fish. I bought 4 fish , the signs on the tanks said by 3 get 1 free. When I got to register the girl said I don’t know it’s not ringing up on sale. She came back and said sorry the signs we not taken down. I have worked in retail for 20 plus years and I would have definitely honored the sign. So for 1 free fish a matter of $14.00 I will no longer shop there and I will go to pet smart. The Salem store is never willing to honor any type of coupons or sales.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Fish do eat it but my experience with granules are kind of jagged edges and not smooth and round. Not too sure what i think of it atm but so far some of the bigger fishes are eating it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I was looking for a food that would sink and this is labelled "slow sinking." What they meant to say is "floating - will not sink at all ever." As an aquarium supply company, Aqueon knows that some fish only feed at the top, some only in the middle, and some only on the bottom. They know how important it is for the food to be at the right level for the fish. They just don't label their products so that we can make educated consumer decisions. If your fish eat from the top of the tank, this food will work for them. My middle and bottom feeders won't eat it because it won't sink.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can this be used with Saltwater fish such as a Tang, clownfish - clarkii, blue damsel, etc.?

  1. Since my wife and I have freshwater fish, I don’t know for sure. But I don’t think they make two separate types of granules. I have not come across two types while shopping for food.

Can guppies and their fry eat this?

  1. Yes, but you might have to crush it finer for fry.
