Fantastic customer service from this supplier
I bought the 60 gallon breeder around the end of 2022 I believe. It is currently end of 2025. This tank was amazing and was great for my turtle. I switched to a new type of filter and shortly after my tank began to leak. I contacted their warranty department and due to the size of the tank I purchased, they issued me a full refund and I am now buying the same tank again!

I will never by an aqueon tank again
The Aqueon 60 breedee i bought has a gap between the glass and plastic frame slightly wider than 1/8" on top and bottom on one side. There is also a chip in the glass in one corner under the silicone about 1/3 from the top. The chip will very likely brake upon filling.

Better than a 40
I purchased this 60 gallon on 12-30-24 and set it up on 1-5-24, today is 1-26-25 and NO leaks. I had a 40 gallon Topfin and I iust wanted a little bigger tank. I was limited on size or I would definitely go with a 75 G. However, more than likely IF you can do a 40 gallon then you could probably do a 60. So, a 60 gallon is MUCH better than a 40.
The actual size is 48.5” L X 18.5”W x 16” H.
The only thing I don’t like about is the overall quality is not as good as the Topfin. Like the inside sealing isn’t as uniform and the outside black plastic frame has scuff marks and imperfections.

Leaking Defective Tank
Came home to 60 gallons leaking in my dining room. Reached out to Aqueon but I no longer have receipt. Product is defective and they requested more information but the tank was put outside due to the leak and cannot give name and date code requested because the tank was taken from outside during the day when at work. Very disappointed. Currently have 60 gallons of fish in a plastic tub hoping they’ll make it while trying to find a tank of better quality. I want to make sure no one else has to experience this.

Poorly made
The aquarium tank is poorly made.
Look like someone tried to reseal the tank. Blobs and stringy silicone is everywhere. The glass is aligned and isnt flush with the brace.

Great size for a small tank. It look great.
I bought this tank about a week ago yo hold some gold fish until I can take them to my classroom. It great I'm using now for some fish I wanted to to get. It look great.

Is this tank still made with tempered glass? I'm inquiring for the 60 gallon breeder specifically, website does not have the specs listed for it!
- Some sizes of Aqueon aquariums are either tempered or annealed glass. However, the 60 gallon breeder tank is made from ¼” annealed glass and no tempered glass.

does the 60 gallon come with lids and if not what size do I need to buy for it
- Same lids as 75 and 90 gallon aquariums. 60,75,90 are same dimensions other than height, 48”x18” I recommend glass lids. Petco also has, however check online locations for nearest in stock and when on sale. Also same lids as 125 gallon, except uses 3 pieces instead of 2.

What is the (dry) weight of the 60 gallon breeder aquarium? I read on the Aqueon information sheet that it is 43 pounds dry weight, but that does not seem possible.
