Helped cure New Tank Syndrome
This product hands down, saved my 5 gallon and my 10 gallon tanks beat new tank syndrome. I made every mistake a beginner could make. The 5 gallon had ich and new tank syndrome at the same time. With the help of this product, consistency, and dedication, BOTH tanks are now fully cycled and ich free! This product rocks. You helped me fix my nightmare, and usage is SO easy. Maybe add a little color to them because they are so clear it's hard not to vacuum them up, but aside from that, EXCELLENT product. 10/10.

Disappointed
I bought these a few weeks ago and just noticed two of the orbs on the bottom of my tank. They did not dissolve so I don’t think my tank got any benefit. Very disappointed. No wonder I didn’t see any improvement.

Orb caused blockage in fish’s mouth
It worked fairly well for awhile, but the last batch we got did not dissolve in the water for over a week. My fish ended up getting one stuck in his mouth. He would’ve died if my husband didn’t get it out.

Didn’t melt!
They did not melt in my tank! I thought it might just be a slow release type of deal but 24 hrs later & it looks just the same as when I took it out of the package.

Didn't "melt"
I dropped a bunch of these in my new tank to get it going. I thought everything was great until I saw them all sitting, whole, in various corners of my tank. Lot of good they did my fish. Never again. I'll stick with API quick start and the two Zyme products they have going forward. They're liquid so you know they're mixing in with the water.

As I new fish mother, I had to research what fish require to have a healthy environment. I saw many recommendations for this product. So far, no issues.

Works great!
I bought the 4 pack because I'm trying to cycle my tank and wanted to introduce some bacteria. The water was a little cloudy from the plant stratum I purchased but once I popped these in, the next morning the water was crystal clear and beautiful. I also tested the water and found both nitrites and nitrates which will hopefully speed up the cycle.

do the ball dissolve into the water and how long should i leave it in before adding in shrimps or fish
- While Aqueon PURE does not dissolve completely, the small PURE left behind will go unnoticed and be removed during water changes! This water supplement is safe to add with your shrimp and fish.

- This depends on the size of the tank and which PURE product you are using. PURE cannot be overdosed.

How long does the ball take to dissolve? I dropped it directly in the tank before reading reviews to put it in the filter. Would this pose a risk to a betta?
- It never will totally dissolve, but the time it takes to dissolve is directly related to fish load and the amount of sludge/debris in the tank. This is perfectly safe for a betta!

How long does it take for the cycle using this product for a new tank? I drop one in yesterday.
- Hey there! The PURE balls begin working immediately, but they do NOT used to “cycle” an aquarium. The product releases bacteria and enzymes into the aquarium which clear water and break down waste.
