Introducing the Aqueon Preset Aquarium Heater - a must-have for any fish lover! With its sleek and shatter-resistant construction, this heater is built to last. And the best part? No fiddling around with complicated temperature settings - it's preset to 78 degrees Fahrenheit right out of the box! Here are some more reasons why this heater rocks:

  • - Automatic safety shut off and overheat protection: relax knowing your fish are safe from any overheating mishaps

Doesn't work as advertised

AdamTM

Bought this heater for a new 29 gal aquarium and it won't heat the water past 74 degrees (checked with thermapen). It will not reach the advertised 78 degrees. I wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing. On the surface, a preset heater seems like a good idea. However, you're up a creek if the temp doesn't work right. I'll probably go back to the adjustable heater. Buyer beware.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this two weeks ago and it worked decent for about 6 days. I have a 29 gallon tank and this is set up properly near the filter. Now my water temp is currently 70 degrees and my fish are all huddled around this junky heater trying to stay warm. NOT HAPPY. I've already ordered another brand from a different company that will be here in a few days. Don't waste your money, this thing isn't even adjustable so I can't even turn the heat up!

No, I do not recommend this product.

After 2 months it doesn't seem to heat past 74 degrees in my 10 gallon tank. It sometimes feels warm to the touch but just can't get it to heat the tank to a higher temp.

Needs Room to be 73 degrees to work

Bought this for our 29 gallon tank. It never got warm, even when it turned on. Our tank never got above the room temperature. When I called customer service, they explained that preset heaters require that the ambient temperature is above 73 degrees to heat the tank to 78. It does not say so on the box, but that is much warmer than many people keep their homes, so probably not a great heater for most people!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Only Heats 10 gallon to 72 degrees

I upgraded from the Aqueon 50 watt preset because my 10 gallon only reached 72 degrees. The Aqueon 100 watt preset also only heats my 10 gallon to 72 degrees. Both heaters claim to be preset to 78 degrees for a 10 gallon but fail.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Have a 26 gallon reef tank, I was told the 50w was perfect instead of the 100watt

  1. Hello! The size of the heater would be dependent on what your desired temperature is, while keeping in mind that ambient room temperature is a key factor. If you have further questions please reach out to us at 1-888-255-4527, we would be happy to help!

Will this work in a 30 gallon tank

  1. As long as the room temperature is 68 -72 you should be fine.

The light keeps shutting off we just bought it today. How do i fix this?

  1. The light turns off when the temperature is reached when the red light is on that indicates it is heating up

Will this work for a 5 gal betta tank?

  1. A 100W is a bit strong for a 5 gallon tank and there's a chance it could overheat it, and the 100W heater is also larger and won't fit as well, for a tank of that size a 50W would better.

will this work with a 20 gallon with no lid?

  1. It should do fine.

My room is 72 degrees will this heat my tank up to at least 78 degrees in my 20 gallon long? I dont like bettas being at anything lower

  1. I have this in my 20 long and have no troubles with it staying between 77.5 & 78. It won't go above 78. My home in winter is around 74 and the tank heater doesn't come on that often, so it keeps the tank temp pretty stable.

Can I use this heater on my 8 gallons tank?

  1. I used this heater in a 9 gallon fluval flex before upgrading to a 20 Long which it's in now. The heater shuts itself off when it reaches 78F. My first heater of this model lasted a little over 5yrs, so I purchased this same one again.

My heater's knob is not glowing red after I put it in water for 45 min and plugged it in. Is that normal? Also, my plants came with a baby sea snail. Should I get rid of it.

  1. I would be worried if the indicator light is not flowing red.  Also, get rid of the snail.

what is the length of a 100 watt adjustable AQUEN aquarium heater?

  1. Aqueon preset pro is 14 inches long

i have a 10 gallon tank should i get this for it?

  1. Yes
