Questions
Will this "melt" a plastic tank?
- I answered this question earlier, and I want to add something after reading some of the reviews. I have 2 of these heaters that work fine, but I bought them about 3 years ago. It seems like many RECENT reviews say their heater overheats the water - so it seems the production quality may have gone down since I bought mine. One of our 2 heaters runs a tad warmer than the other, but I just always positioned it so that only about 3/4 of the heater is below the water level.

does this work in 20 gallon tanks?
- As clearly stated in the product description, the heater is for tanks up to 2.5 gallons.

Request - make something where the “bowl” can sit on top. I use a kombucha/Brewing belt around the outside. Keeps the water warm without threat of over heating, is glass safe and surface safe. Make something similar that is flat and goes under a bowl.
Is this safe to use for a 1/2-3/4 gallon fish bowl?
- Yes, but keep mind it there is no off setting like a thermostat.

Is this heater ok with a 1 gallon acrylic aquarium for betta fish, and what temperature does it get to?
- It is perfect for 1 gallon beta. There is not set temperature it just heats the water by 2 degrees.

How hot will the water get? My house is generally pretty cold and I need the water to be about 78°
- This should work just fine for you then. As long as your tank is within the size limits of this heater.

Is this heater compatible in a 3 gallon saltwater aquarium
- It should be fine in any aquarium setting. I have mine in a five gallon Berta tank with live and fake rock and other materials.

Hii I was wondering if it would work with my 5 gallon tank. It is usually at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and I wanted to heat it up a bit, so will the heater work for my tank?
- Yes! This would work well with your aquarium.

So w/ oil very expensive we leave our heat on 63 degrees if this heater only goes up 2 to 3 degrees in a 1 gallon tank, my fish is still going to freeze. I can not raise my heat for a beta fish at $3.40 gallon 8 to 10 degrees more! So any suggestions!
- So a thought, a reptile undertank heating pad with a plastic bag on top. It would sufficiently warm the tank I think in addition to the in-tank water heater.

Would this work for a 1.6 gallon tank?
- Yes I believe it would
