The Aqueon LED Deluxe Full Hood is a custom-fit hood that sits perfectly on the inside lip of your tank. It has a full-length feeding door and convenient rear breakout sections, providing easy access to everything you need. The LED lighting is top-notch with one interchangeable Day White lamp included and a slot for an additional LED lamp. You can choose from Day White, Colormax, Beauty Max or Max Blue. The moon glow accent LED light is included and can be switched on with the three-way switch. Upgrade your aquarium game with the Aqueon LED Deluxe Full Hood.

Light did not work when it arrived. It looks great but the light doesn’t turn on so it’s kind of pointless. Very disappointing

This hood comes in 20 inch, 24 inch, & 30 inch sizes. The Aqueon 20 gallon high tank uses the 24 inch size and the Aqueon 20 gallon long tank uses the 30 inch size.

A good is it a good light for growing plants ?

It is great for very low light requiring plants. A second tube can be added to increase light intensity, but would still be low compared to most plant requirements. Anubias, Java moss, Java fern, and hornwort grow well under this lighting.

Not unless you have an odd sized 40 gallon. This hood is made for 20 gallon long aquariums and 30 gallon standard size aquarium.
