I just purchased this stand, and the reviews are definitely accurate. Quality seems fair at best…I don’t see this lasting more than a year or two. It was damaged when opening the box, not bad, but very scratched. Quality is definitely sub par for the price. I purchased and used a lot of Aqueon products and this is by far the worst. This is not meet my expectations from past purchases.

I would not buy this product again. I have had it a little over one year and the finish is beginning to peel off in a couple of places. I am planning to build a custom stand for the cube.

Bought this stand Yesterday and I’m happy with it. For the price point it actually quite good. I picked it up.

I bought this stand because it “matched” my 24x24x24 tank. While I love the tank, this stand is a complete disappointment. The product was in a box that was not well sealed. The board were sliding around inside, and were scratched on all sides when I took them out of the box. The stand is made out of particle board, and the sides do not connect to the back pieces in any way. The holes for the dowels are drilled too small and split the particle board, not only making it ugly, but compromising the strength of the board itself. There is no reinforcement anywhere in the construction, just a few 1.5” dowels and screws on the outer edges. The inside is an empty cabinet space with no shelf, and a door that does not provide support for the stand and is held closed with one push magnet. I did not trust that this flimsy stand could hold the weight of a filled tank of close to 500 pounds, so I returned it and went to Home Depot. I bought a 4x4 post and 2x4s and a piece of 1” plywood for less than $30 and made a super sturdy stand with a shelf. You can do the same DO NOT BUY THIS AQUEON STAND!! It is not worth your money or your time, and definitely not worth the risk to your fish.

This stand will hold the 60 cube. Yes it might be scratched. Yes the instructions are not great but it's very easy to figure out. Yes it's made cheap, the price is also cheap for a stand. It will hold the weight. It won't hold being shoved from the side, it isn't built or meant to. If you want something better go pay the money.

buy a real stand, not chinese particleboard There's quite literally parts they don't include in the instructions, so essentially missing directions. Ive been doing this for a minute and never seen such awful instructions to where it was easier to follow the picture on the box. There is no quality control -- couldn't connect panels to the bottom because the pre-drilled holes were off. The boards are all scratched and chipped why is petco still selling this?

Packing was not sealed properly. Inside contents were not secure, there for slide around in the box which cause all sides to have scratches on it. had to repaint. The feet on the stand were very loose to it and no secure points and had to hot glue them into place, Otherwise stand is sturdy.

Aqueon really NEED to listen to their customers feedback like ASAP. Ok first of all yes this stand DOES the job of holding the tank, ok yes great but quality and feature wise 0/10. First stand I bought, after I have installed everything the door DOES NOT SWING OUT PROPERLY and there was no way in heaven I could fix that or mess around with it so of course I HAD to take it all apart and return it to get ANOTHER ONE with the SAME ISSUE but at least I was able to SOMEWHAT OPEN IT and CLOSE. Another thing is, why have AQUEON NOT ADDED ANOTHER CUTOUT for canisters filter?? It don’t make sense to have just that one cutout like what’s the purpose of it? So of course again, I had to DRILL one big cutout which now voids my warranty. I mean what can I do right? 🙄 I’ve once wrote a review for the bigger one before and wish it would’ve been improved by now at least but it didn’t. I would not have bought this stand but hence that it’s the ONLY thing that will fit the 14 gallon cube perfectly so I’m stuck with this stand.
