I got this like last year and it still works perfectly, when I clean it/remove the pump part it struggles a little when I turn it back on but I just have to wait a little and put it a little deeper in the tank till it pumps the water out. I haven’t had a issue with my beta getting stuck in the pump intake, and even he hangs out behind it sometimes. It even holds paint really well, I painted the outside of the back when I first got it and it hasn’t peeled or chipped. Overall I think this tank is pretty nice.

I bought this tank for my Beta 3 months ago, everything is working fine. As for the filter intake, you can buy a filter "sock" for it so no fish gets stuck. It would be nice if it was included.

I literally bought this 3/16/25 and went to do a partial clean and put the filter back in on 3/18/25 and it would not work. Had to take it back, traumatize the fish who I am still hoping will survive the trauma of it all. The pet store replaced the tank, but I am not convinced that I won't have to get another soon. It's not cheap for such a low quality product.

Within one month, the filter completely stops working. Thanks a lot Aqueon. Oh yeah, must be a way to get customers to purchase another filter. Corps. greed gotta make money.

My daughter saved up and bought this tank. I should have listened to the other reviews and helped her pick out a different one. This filter stopped working after the 3rd time cleaning the tank and I’m having a difficult time finding a replacement.

Missing part of the filter, and I am not sure how to contact the company. I can see from pics the filter should have a long part that extends into the tank but mine does not have that piece

Excellent Tank! To the people that complained that your fish died when they got stuck against the filter; that's why they sell foam covers to put over the filter! All you have to do is buy one, slide it on, and then the fish cannot get sucked against it! For your fish to have been weak enough to get sucked against it, it was already dying. Probably because the water wasn't cycled, so the chemicals killed it. That isn't the filter's fault. This tank has been wonderful for me; especially because I put a filter foam on it.
