How to do clean water which fill in aquarium if doesn't have water conditioner?
I have a betta fish that hangs out in the bottom. I noticed he has fin rot. I cleaned his 5-gallon tank 100%. I put in water conditioning that puts on a slime coat for the fish and aquarium salt. He still isn't getting better and looks a little worse. What should I do?
Is there a thing such as adding too much water conditioner? I use reptisafe for my African dwarf frog.
Hi; I have a betta I purchased about 3-4 months ago. He started to get fin rot, so i purchased Bettafix and did a 100% water change. However since yesterday (first day with bettafix) he is lethargic; all day today he was at the top (by the heater which keeps his tank at 78 F) but now hes at the bottom. Looking almost lifeless. Is there any way I can save him?
I just got a betta fish yesterday. He was fine and swimming an hour ago but now he is at the bottom of the tank just kinda laying there and Hindi g in his cave. He is still alive just lathergic. I think he is dying. We put 8 drops of water conditioner in a two gallon tank. We fed him 2 pellets and 2 blood worms. What’s wrong?
I just got a Betta fish from someone a week ago (she had him for about 2 months). He's in an unheated, 1 gallon tank. I didn't know it was bad to keep him in there until I noticed some white stripes around his gills and his eye over night; also some discoloration. I learned on the internet it's not good to keep them in this environment (just changed his water). I'm not sure if it's Ich, Popeye, or finrot. How can I cure him quickly so he doesn't die soon? (Get a new tank, medication, etc.?)
Should I let already room temperature spring water set open before I transfer my betta to another bowl?
Hi, I own a crown tail betta fish, he is showing signs of discoloration, he is floating at the bottom of his bowl most of the time, and one of his fins is breaking. How can I treat him?
We have a Betta baby girl fish. We have the Marina Betta EZ Care tank. We added more water to clean it (instructions say so) and now the water is cloudy and merky. Did we do something wrong?
I just purchased imagitarium aquarium salt for my betta. I have never used aquarium salt before and It says on the label that I can combine it with sprinkling in a little bit of food once a day. Does this mean it is safe to add the salt in with my fish in the tank? What process should I take so he doesn't become overwhelmed? Also does this help prevent/get rid of fin rot? Thank you!
My betta fish has been coming up for air more then usual. Could it be poor water? I am currently treating the tank for tail rot.
He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
