Beware!!

Bought this tank 1.5 years ago. Over time little spills seep in to the seams and particle board is expanding multiple places to point the door gets stuck opening and worried it’s all going to come crashing down! Can’t believe I was stupid enough to buy a particle board stand for my 55 gallon tank. Now I can’t sleep worrying - about it crashing versus setting up new tank where I could lose fish/plants/etc.

This stand is absolutely trash (Do Not Buy) . Can't fit an FX filter of any kind. Also the top and bottom panel has been cut in half requiring you to stich it back together. It only has one very badly positioned shelf and the holes drilled are off just enough to make it look like a homemade peice of junk.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this tank 12/29/2023 from Petco in Odessa. I got a great deal due to them being 50% off and I had a bunch of reward dollars to go towards the purchase. It started leaking 1/14/2023. I took it back to Petco and got a replacement. Chalked it up to bad luck. Less than 24 hrs later the replacement started leaking 5X worse than the previous. I have $2500 worth of damage and equipment I know cannot use. Leaks were due to faulty caulking. No cracks. Aqueon said to file on home insurance when it is an obvious factory error and they should be the one making me whole. I definitely didn't have the guts to try again. This has been so demoralizing.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Don't Buy, will ruin your tanks

Poorly designed, the top of the stand, where you put the tank is made of two pieces of wood joined by a flimsy piece of metal in the middle, so the weight of the tank will eventually bow it and your tank will leak. Happened twice to me in one day with two brand new tanks.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can a 90 gallon tank for on this stand?

  1. It is important to check the dimensions of the aquarium. As long as the aquarium is within the dimensions of the stand, the stand will support up to 900 lbs., which would cover a 90-gallon tank. Thanks.

can a 55 gallon tank be used on this stand

  1. A standard 55 gallon tank would easily fit on this stand. The standard 55 gallon tank measures 48.75" Length x 14" Wide x 21.25" High. This stand measures 49.5" Length x 19.5" Wide × 28.25" High. It comes unassembled but it has decent instructions, comes with all the hardware and assembly is quite easy. A Phillips screw driver is all you'll need. Really strong stable stand. Inside the cabinet on one side it has a adjustable heigth removable shelf with plenty of space for fish foods and all the necessities you'll need. That still leaves two thirds of the cabinet space open for a large canister filter with room left over.

can this fit a fx6 Fluval filter

  1. When assembled the inside dimensions of the stand are 48" W x 17" D x 27" H. The Fluval fx6 is 15" diameter x 20" High. The fx6 will fit inside. But! When the door is open you only have a 20" H x 14 ½" wide opening, too tight to get the fx6 in and out for cleaning. Removing the door (4 philips screws) gives you 15 ½" still a tight fit but maybe just enough room to get the fx6 in and out.

Does it need to be assembled

  1. Yes it does

What is this made of? Does it have any back panel?

  1. made of pressed wood and the back is open except for a small panel
