Misleading description

I was completely disappointed when I realized that there was no surface for either "shelf". It's only a cut out for the exact shape and diameter of the tank size. If the description was clear about it, then I wouldn't have bothered and would not be giving it a bad review. The only reason I give it a 2nd star is because it has the potential to be a great stand, the design is nice. Its very misleading. I thought that it would hold my 5 gallon tank with room to spare and thought that there was some mistake. I'm very disappointed and it has wasted my time with the deceiving description! 👎

I loved the look of the stand and but only have 5 gallon tanks so I just figured that it would sit on top of the stand with room to spare. I was very disappointed when I realized that there is no shelf surface to either of the metal frame pieces. That's all it is, a frame to fit the exact size and shape of a 10 gallon tank. It won't even take a shape other than the rectangle cut out that it's designed for. It's deceiving when it says "fits up to a 10 gallon tank" . If only they were clear about the details, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble

I recently bought the 20 gal, also have 10 gal, (2) 55 gal and a 37 gal. They are sturdy, look great and complement the tank. Easy to put together.

A very beautiful simple stand! It was very easy to put together with the handy little tools provided and it now has my 10 gallon betta tank sitting nicely on top of it :) very pleased with the product for the price !

Great 10 Gallon Stand

This stand is very well designed and looks great. It is easy to put together. Only took about 30 minutes. The only reason it does not get five stars is because they really should design the bottom part to hold a five gallon tank. It is too small for a second 10 gallon and too big for a five gallon. Being a McGuyver, I will find a sturdy board to make it work. Also, Petco has great customer service. I though I was missing a screw and they were quite willing to get me what I needed fast. Turns out I did not read the fine manual correctly and I really did need only three screw sets.

      What are the dimensions of the 5 1/2 gallon tank? I would check the dimensions of the tank and compare them to the stand. Maybe the Aquatic Fundamentals 10 Gallon scroll would suffice.
