Aquacultured Wideband Clowns are a rarely seen species that is endemic to a limited range in Australia, which makes these aquacultured specimens so exciting. They are collected in cooler waters and wild collected species tend to need an aquarium to match. However, these aquacultured specimens were reared in normal reef aquarium temperatures and will thrive in home aquariumsThey are an excellent addition to just about any aquarium as they are very hardy and accustomed to captivity. This clown is reef safe, will eat processed foods and can be added in small groups. Clownfish are known to change their sex to increase their chance of reproduction and genetic diversity in the wild. A school of clowns are built on a hierachy with the female on top, so the largest clown in a school is always the female. If the female dies then the most dominant male will change their sex to take her place. The Wideband Clown will grow to be about 5.5" in size.
