Purchased this for a 20 gallon long and 30 gallon tanks. The gravel was much smaller than anticipated, however, they are beautiful. I’ve included pictures of the substrate. I rinsed it before placing it into the tank and glad I did. The water was very murky even though it states it is rinsed beforehand.

This gravel is wonderful. The color is natural, and my fish seem to love it. However it says triple washed on the bag, but you need to thoroughly wash it several times more before use or you will have cloudy water.

I will start by saying this is really nice gravel. It’s pretty clean out of the bag, a quick rinse and you’ll be good to go. I didn’t rinse it at all and it didn’t dirty my tank to much. To me It seems smaller than your average aquarium gravel. The only problem I have with it, is I thought it was going to be much darker than it is. It’s actually a pretty light coloration, that’s my only complaint about it. Im still happy with it and love the way it looks otherwise. I will be more than happy to use it again if the time comes.

Midnight Pearl is the gravel that I didn't know I wanted for my 5.5 gallon betta aquarium. I was concerned that it would be too dark, but the tan and burgundy highlights give it a nice touch of brightness. The pieces of gravel that look black in the picture are actually a medium-dark gray (under my Finnex Stingray fixture). The colors combine to make a natural-looking, interesting substrate that doesn't steal the show, but provides a foundation that complements my betta and plants beautifully. This gravel isn't coated, so it's a little dusty when it comes out of the bag. It was easy to rinse clean though.

Delighted with it! More than enough to fill my 2.5 gallon tank. Nice and natural-looking. The gravel is just big enough to rinse in a sifter without anything falling through. Perfect for my live plants. I highly recommend.

Couldn’t find it in store so took a chance and ordered it online. It was delivered and is a beautiful choice. Easy rinse and put it in the tank it’s a showstopper.

I got this because I thought I wanted a dark looking gravel. Then, after purchasing and my order had shipped, I kind of changed my mind - I always had a light substrate. Well, I think it's my lighting because under the leds, it's not 'midnight' at all and I am extremely happy.

Really pretty and smaller gravel. Colors are very striking and it was easy to clean and work with. It's sold on another website as the Pisces brand, but this is the same product. Highly recommend.
