This sand is a pretty light purple color. I took a pic at night with my aquarium light on.

Used this to cap my active substrate and I really like the look! It's pretty lavender in color, but red-leaning in low lights. It did need to be rinsed beforehand, despite the "triple-washed" claim, otherwise I'd give in 5 stars. Bought on sale, great deal for a unique sand!

This is not my first time usinh aquarium sand. Cloudy water it to be expected but what I wasnt ready for was bright yellow coming of it for what felt like a dozen times rinsing it. This is also very small if you didnt plan on laying this on clay or soil Id say you would need 6 bags or so for a 10 gallon tank. The color is more purple and less like the picture.
