Can Betta fish tank have sand from river?
What id the nest bottom feeder for my betta fish -
first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!
My betta is very small and is nearly three months old. The first picture I took of him this week, the second was when I first got him about a month ago. He eats betta food and krill, and is kept in a warm, filtered 3.5 gallon aquarium. pH level seems fine. I am using a dechlorinator and slime coat conditioner for his water. Very active and eats one to two times a day. Should I be concerned, or is it possible the store aged him wrong? Why is my fish growing so slowly?
Hey! I have a empty 5.5 and I planned on getting a baby betta the brand is Topfin. and I was just curious about the filter on it and if you think it would be to tough and blow the betta around or suck it into the filter. I also heard that Smaller Bettas are recommended live food but I don’t know how to raise anything like vinegar eels, microworms, etc.
My female betta has dropsy what can I get her
hi I bought the imagitarium fresh water uv purified water for my betta,s. Is this good water for them and does it have the nutrients they need? thank you
When can I put my Betta in a new tank I bought yesterday? There are live plants and nutrition gravels and pet safe in the tank
Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?
We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
I bought a few baby Bettas, the person at the Petco counter TOLD ME that these fish CAN STAY in the tubs they came in (NOT BAGS) until they get too big! If they can live in these tubs at the store cant they live in the tubs in my loving home?? How big is too big? I have bee told they have to be moved to a BIG tank, like, 2 or 3 gallons, is there any way I can get cheap ones?? If I properly clean, add sulfrate and healthy water could I make a DIY tank out of a food container? HELP ME SAVE DUSTIN
Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?
