We switched to this food because my cat is extremely picky, and this was one of the very few options they would actually eat. The ingredients seemed solid, and I initially felt good about the choice. Then my cat started vomiting after meals. At first, I thought maybe they were just eating too fast, until I got a closer look at the food itself. I’ve now found sharp, splintery bones in three separate bags. These are not soft or digestible, they’re crunchy and jagged, and absolutely pose a SERIOUS health risk. I’ve reached out to the company, but so far no compensation or real resolution has been offered. Originally, I thought it might be an isolated issue since the first two bags had the same lot number. But today, I opened a new bagwith a completely different lot number and found an even larger bone. Extremely disappointed and genuinely concerned for my cat’s safety. This shouldn’t be happening, and I won’t be feeding this brand anymore until they take accountability and fix the issue.

My cat loves this food. She took to it right away and she is fairly fussy about her eats.

We have three cats and unfortunately one of them suffers from IBS. The vet suggested changing his diet to a high-quality, primarily wild diet (no grains; rabbit, venison, lamb, etc.). Having made this change his stomach has settled down drastically. Due to the high quality, limited ingredients of the Applaws wet food, we began sprinkling it into their diet. Even the pickiest of the three licks the dish clean on Applaws days. Recently, we have had difficulty getting the grain-free sensitive stomach kibble they had been eating. This caused a lot of concern because a sudden drastic change in daily food (kibble) could irritate the kitty's tummy... But with the experience of the wet food we took the plunge and tried the Applaws kibble (chicken is off the menu but so happy for the whitefish option!). We only had 3 or 4 days to mix the kibble brands (instead of the 9-12 suggested) for digestion adjustment time yet there were ZERO stomach issues!! Not to mention all three gobbled up the new kibble (no pickiness at all) and now all three of the cats eat this kibble daily. The first 4lb bag has been consumed and we are so happy with the noticeable change in their coats (silkier), even the snowshoe who had dry skin has had that clear up completely. Three cheers (meows) for Applaws!! My only complaint is the kibble doesn't come in larger bags...but I guess that means the kibble stays fresh for the babies. My cats LOVE Applaws! I was worried because my cats are picky, but they loved it from the minute I started putting it in their bowls. And even better, so far, no throwing up! I chose Applaws due to food allergies for my female, and Applaws has limited ingredients, and my other go to was discontinued. I will stick with Applaws now, I only wish I came in bigger bags.

High quality nutritious food. Not full of fillers and empty calories. My cat loves it!

I used this for over a year with my 2 kitties and gradually noticed that the litter box was stinkier than usual. After my 17 yr old passed, I adopted a new kitty and transitioned him onto Applaws and the litter box stench was overwhelming & his poops were like cow pies. After a poop analysis the vet suggested a different food. Voila, firm poops & 90% improvement in the smell.
