The Honest Kitchen Wet Cat Food
One of the many options I have considered for my senior cat with FLUTD is giving him an all canned food diet. He currently eats dry food and some wet. When I look at the can, the feeding suggestions state 1 can per 2.5 pounds. So that would be about 4 cans. He’s lucky to finish an entire can in a day. Does this indicate that a canned diet might not be best or do some cats eat less than than that suggestion or because he has dry too? I’ve only ever gave cats dry food so this all new to me. Thanks
I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. Is there a similar super palatable food that is not vet prescribed that I might try? My cat's health is good. Recent blood work by my vet showed not problems at all. Thanks.
I've been feeding my cats Candidae food, dry hairball control kibble and wet food 2x/day. They like the dry, but LOVE the wet. However t's quite expensive and that brand only carries 3 oz cans of wet food which makes calculating feeding amounts difficult. When I run out of cat food I give my cats either tuna in water or sardines in tomato sauce, whichever I happen to have on-hand. This happens about once every two months. Is there one of those I shouldn't give them? Or should I give them one over the other if I have both? They haven't had any I'll effects to either (and prefer sardines).

Hi!! Is it alright to feed my pelly whiskas adult wet cat food( freely available ) , as whiskas or royal canin kitten wet food is hard to find here. Amazon online order also failed. Shall i give boiled meat or fish instead? He is currently on royal canin kitten dry food only, but he eats too little of it and so skinny. But he is fond of eating meat and fish. Sorry I forgot to ask, Regarding kovu having decreased appetite and losing weight, how much should a 1 year old cat eat? He used to eat 5 or more ounces wet food and 1/2 cup dry food a day. With his decreased appetite he eats no Dry food and anywhere from no wet food, to 1 and 1/2 ounces twice a day. The most he’s eaten since he’s been losing weight was yesterday and he ate 2 1/2 ounces wet food twice
Hello again! I got some advice from PetCoach earlier today on getting my senior, finicky kitty to not be so picky about his food and it was recommended to try a Small amount of the juice /water from canned chicken in his wet food. could I try a small amount of chicken broth ... low sodium of course because he does have hi blood pressure and takes medicine for it. If this is ok and he likes it, is there any harm in this in the long term? Thanks!!
