I buy the pouches for the limited ingredients; can you tell me why there is rice in the cans but not the pouches?
- Yeah I noticed the same thing when I purchased the pouches before. Not sure why the company adds rice but here is a link of what I found online. https://www.pawlicy.com/blog/can-cats-eat-rice/ It mentions also that rice is high in carbs and fibers. It can be given to cat but as an occasional option. It is used as a filler also. Hope this helps

My cats love Applaws. Should I add cat vitamin with applaws? since it doesn't contain any taurine
- If that's all she's eating, then probably. I don't because my cat eats other cat food.

What is the amount of Taurine in this canned food?

Taurine does occur natural in the proteins we use (chicken or tune for example), however as none is added, there is no analysis of the content.

One of the many options I have considered for my senior cat with FLUTD is giving him an all canned food diet. He currently eats dry food and some wet. When I look at the can, the feeding suggestions state 1 can per 2.5 pounds. So that would be about 4 cans. He’s lucky to finish an entire can in a day. Does this indicate that a canned diet might not be best or do some cats eat less than than that suggestion or because he has dry too? I’ve only ever gave cats dry food so this all new to me. Thanks
I've been feeding my cats Candidae food, dry hairball control kibble and wet food 2x/day. They like the dry, but LOVE the wet. However t's quite expensive and that brand only carries 3 oz cans of wet food which makes calculating feeding amounts difficult. I want to make sure I'm feeding them the best and most cost efficient way. What would you recommend feeding them, and how, and how much? Do their weights (attached photo) seem healthy?

My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!

Sorry I forgot to ask, Regarding kovu having decreased appetite and losing weight, how much should a 1 year old cat eat? He used to eat 5 or more ounces wet food and 1/2 cup dry food a day. With his decreased appetite he eats no Dry food and anywhere from no wet food, to 1 and 1/2 ounces twice a day. When I run out of cat food I give my cats either tuna in water or sardines in tomato sauce, whichever I happen to have on-hand. This happens about once every two months. Is there one of those I shouldn't give them? Or should I give them one over the other if I have both? They haven't had any I'll effects to either (and prefer sardines).
