Thank you for the reply back! Once the can is open would you say to use it up in 3 days tops? I dont plan to use the whole can for one meal (using this as a topper).
- I love the smaller cans. I split the small can with three of my cats so they each get 1/3. The bigger can goes to waist. If I would ever open a can and not use it all, I would just refrigerate it for one day tops. The fish doesn’t hold well and don’t want your kitty to get sick. I do love Applaws the variety of flavors. My three kitties have been eating Applaws for years. My cats favorite is Ocean fish in broth.

What is the taurine content in this? Cats MUST have taurine in their diets.
- This is what the Applaws website indicates: "...Applaws [canned food] is a complementary pet food for adult cats, feed alongside a complete... [and] balanced diet. ...intended for intermittent or supplementary feeding only." According to AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) Pet food products bearing the above statement do not meet any of the normal standards for complete and balanced nutrition and do not meet any other special nutritional need, so they are limited to non-continuous or supplemental use. Applaws did not supplement/add the essential amino acid, taurine to this food. It may contain taurine, which occurs naturally in animal muscle, but it is difficult to accurately measure those levels, due to a number of variables including cooking/processing method, diet/nutrition of food animal, and even elapse of time (between slaughter, processing, preservation, and finally consumption). Food labels are are difficult to understand. I wish they were more transparent, easier for everyone read.

I feed my cat Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Early Support Chicken Canned Cat Food, and order it from chewy.com, but the are out of stock and vet doesn't carry it. She has only 10 cans left. Is there any other place to get this food quickly?

What should I look for when buying cat food? Blossom likes wet but she occasionally throws up ( especially if it's in gravy or sauce) and Kenwood likes dry but will also eat Blossom's food if available. Right now Blossom is eating Purina Pro Plan and Kenwood is eating Fancy Feast Filet Mignon and w/ seafood and shrimp. Both are inside cats with little to moderate activity . Blossom is 9 years old and Kenwood is 3 1/2. Kenwood is a big black cat and slightly overweight while Blossom is small.

Hi I have a cat (she's 5) and she constantly vomits.She stays with my family in Romania but I live in UK. She eats Nutraline Sensitive and Kitkat pouches and I recently bought Applaws because I saw the ingrediends and there is no way of comparison between Applaws and those brands. I bought that thinking she won't vomit anymore but she won't eat at all Applaws. I want to bring her here with me, but I don't know what I'll do if she won't eat... Do you have any suggestions? My male cat is almost 14. I know he is starting kidney problems due to the extra water he drinks at this point. and a bit thinner. lots of energy still. I read they need at least 50% protein, I give him wet and dry which i know is not good, but lots of wet and freeze dried chicken too, vit with dig enzymes. Can you suggest the best Wet high protein food and anything else from Petco?
