Apoquel is an oral chewable tablet that works differently than other skin allergy medications for dogs. It goes straight to the source to help relieve itch and inflammation at its core - addressing the underlying cause of irritation and soothing allergic reactions. Apoquel Chewable provides rapid relief from allergic dermatitis and was demonstrated to control allergic pruritus within 24 hrs. Apoquel is ideal for both short or long-term treatment and can help to offer relief without many of the side effects associated with other medications.

Both of my dogs were prescribed Apoquel for allergic dermatitis & chronic itching. It has been very successful, but at a cost of $2.23 per tablet it's very expensive. One of my dogs had chronic ear infections requiring 2 separate ear surgeries (ear flap hematoma & myringotomy). Since starting Apoquel NO ear infections. Are there any resources for lower cost of this medication? Your comments on long term use of Apoquel would be appreciated.
My dog is currently on Apoquel 5.4 mg once per day. He is 25 lbs. Lately, that hasn't been lasting a full 24 hrs so his vet said that I could give him one 5.4 in the a.m. and then another 5.4 in the p.m. for two weeks and then back down to one pill again. The other choice was to give one 5.4 and a half of a 3.6 at once in the morning, which the vet advised not do that option since 5.4 and 1/2 of the 3.6 is a lot of Apoquel at once. But, isn't 5.4 twice per day a lot, too? I'm confused.
I have a 14ib dog with skin allergies. Ive had 2 consults and both vets suggest this apoquel medication. THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE STRENGTH FOR A 14LB DOG. What strength would you suggest?
My dog has allergies and did really well on apoquel. He didn’t do so well on Benadryl. What other over the counter allergy medicine can I try for a 100lb dog?
Our vet prescribed Apoquel 5.4mg for our dog, because he has been searching and licking. We found a few scabbed up sores on his underbelly which was why we took him to see them. We have been reading about the medication and are concerned about wether it is actually safe to give. What are your thoughts?
Where can I get amorazole tablet for my dog on line
Constant allergies and ear infections. Apoquel works well but told not a good idea to take long term. Any safer alternatives out there? Any OTC shampoos I can try? Does not tolerate fish/oil... does best on LID duck and potato food.
He has horrible grass allergies, to the point that his paws and chest bleed every summer, even with using a mild oatmeal shampoo to wash off paws when he comes in the house. Keeping him IN the house. Using a hot spot and itch relief and Benedryl. Apoquel works great for him, but I can not afford 2.00 per pill for him. Any other suggestions? Sorry the photos do not show the true scope of how bad it is....hard to hold him still and take photos.
My dog has been dealing with allergies for a very long time… We have been to multiple veterinarians and been on multiple medications the only one of which that seems to work in the slightest is Apoquell, but we are running out of money with all of the vet bills just being seen every time let alone the price of the medication… Is there anyway to get this prescription called in for him? He’s absolutely miserable and we don’t know what to do. Thank you So much.
My 14.9 pound 11 month old puppy took a 5.4 mg Apoquel and 2.4 mg of temaril p. Will this harm him. The apoquel was not for him. He took it from my 12 year old dog that suffers from allergies as well.
My baby has bad allergies and she is prescribed apoquel dosage is 3.6mg tablet and we are only suppose to give her half. So i was wondering if we can ask our vet to up the dosage because it seems like the 3.6mg isnt working as well anymore? Thank you.
Our 2-year-old Shar-pei is taking a course of Apoquel along with her Bravecto. While Bravecto seems to work very well, as advertised, the Apoquel does not seem to work. Our Coco is still scratching, some licking, and shedding balls of hair. She eats Purina One. Would she be as well off taking over the counter allergy medicines like Benadryl, Claritin, etc.? Thank you for your time.
