Alternative to Apoquel

All about my dogs

My lab will be 9 this year and the allergies started when she was 6 months old. Was on apoquel for years and had her tested for what she is allergic to - 2 pages of plants, etc. She is now on Heska Allercept serum - 2 drops in the mouth in the a.m. & 2 drops in the p.m. Took about 7 months for it to start showing results. Costly at first $250 for test and around $200 every 6 months for the drops. Its 2 small bottles you get from the vet that they order from Heska. Google and read about it. Cut my monthly med bill down by 80%. Fall and spring are the roughest times for her; I keep prednisone and/or apoquel around for the rough times. She had been on the Heska drops for over 2 years and it works. It is worth checking out both for the dog and for your wallet. Petco vet clinic can do the test and order the meds for you or check with your vet. All depends on who charges the most. We did just the environmental test not food allergies. Don't give her chicken or beef only salmon and brown rice dog food. Good luck - not fun to watch your pup's suffer.

I just wanted everyone to know I purchase Apuquel for my French bulldog and Aussie and English bulldog and YES its expensive but I have spoke with many breeders of bulldogs English and French and believe it or not, they bathe there dogs in Head and Shoulders Classic clean shampoo for humans, and I wash my dogs in it and it stops the itching for weeks at a time... It also leaves there hair very soft. You can try this it will not affect your dog that I have seen.. My daughter has a German Shepard and a Cockapoo and it stops her itching..She has chewed and had bald spots so I know when she started bathing her in it she has had no other problems. And she was buying Apuquel all the time.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Humphrey the Bulldog has had allergy issues his whole life. After all else failed MISERABLY to correct the issue, with one vet even saying " sorry- there;s nothing more we can do"- another vet put Humphrey on Apoquel and within 30 minutes the itching STOPPED. The patches of hair falling out stopped, It a wonder drug. And well it should be for the price.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Bulldog has been using apoquel for about three years. His life is so much better, without the constant biting and licking himself. And the only side effect is a little extra drool, but he is a Bulldog, so maybe it's not related.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Will you send Apoquel to the UK?

  1. Getting a drug though customs will be no Swiss picnic.

How long out is the usual expiration date for an order of 100 pills?

  1. I just received my 100ct in the mail today. EXP is marked as 10/2024. It comes sealed, the "manual" does not list a best by date after opening.

Hello , could you ship to HK ?

Do I earn pals rewards on prescription purchases?

    1. Usually if it is a auto script for monthly delivery.

    Is it harmful to humans

    1. It depends on how you take it. This is in pill form only. I would not suggest consuming it through the nose, eyes, ear canals or anally. Oral side effects include, but are not limited to, the chasing of cars, circulated tail biting, heavy panting and loudly coughing at the living room window.

does Petco in Gig Harbor Wa carry apaquel 16 mg 45 count if so cost please

    1. I'm a dog owner that Petco ask to answer a question about Apoquel 16mg. it woks great on a dog that has skin that always itches. It worked from the very first pill. I paid about $105.00 for a 30 day supply from the Vet and $60.00 from Petco for a 30 day supply.

Can you buy 50 ct. instead of the 100ct.?

    1. You buy it by the pill, depending on what your vet prescribes

Hi, could your shop ship to Hong Kong?

My dog just got on this medicine for allergies but I wanted to know if this medication cause drowsiness?

      1. Apoquel does not cause any drowsiness. My lab had severe allergies and nothing I tried ever helped, until i found Apoquel. It's a wonder drug and worth the cost.

      Is this a daily tablet?

      1. I think it depends on your dog and the dog's problem. My dog (Maggie) takes 1\2 pill in the morning then another 12 hours later with her benadryl. The next I give 1\2 with benadryl(I give her benadryl regardless of the Apoquel). Then back to 1\2 pill 2 times a day. I rotate her pills trying to save money. But at the same time making sure she isn't itchy.
