Cleared up my pond within one day. It is keeping it clean and problem free. I just follow the clear directions. Wish I found this item years ago. I have already bought their algae control product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Works but is a multi step product

I've used pond-zyme, algaefix and simply clear. Each one purchased at a different time and had minimal results. But when used correctly in combination the 3 products turned my thick green pond water into regular water again.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a complete joke - the sludge is on the bottom of the pond - this stuff FLOATS...it does not even come close to working on the sludge...a waste of time, money and effort...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Do I need to remove the koi when using these products

  1. No, just follow instructions.

Is this safe for red eared sliders?

  1. Should be fine. It’s basically barley powder and dissolves pretty fast. It is safe for koi and goldfish so can’t see why it wouldn’t.

Will this safe for cherry shrimps, fancy guppies, snails? Is this all natural bacteria?  Can I use in 300 gallon aquariums?

  1. I don't know. We have a koi pond, about 4000 gallons and also mosquito fish which I think are like guppies and seem to be ok when not eaten by Koi. Does help clean up pond.

Is this product safe for pets? My dogs like to drink out of my pond.

  1. Hi PondPets, Yes, all of the API products are ok if any wildlife or domestic animals come by for a drink or swim in treated water, as long as you dose it correctly.

i put algaefix in my 3000 gal pond today when should I add pond zyme

  1. ChgoMan, Thank you for your question. You can use any of the API products in conjunction with each other as long as you are dosing the products accordingly to the label. You do not need to wait a specific amount of time before adding the Pond Zyme to your pond after adding the Algae Fix.

how long will it take to clear up my 16 x 8 pond?

  1. Thank you for your question. This product will begin to work immediately but the source of your algae growth will also need to be addressed as well. We have provided a link to an article below we recommend you review. Control Pond Algae with Light, Nutrient Control, Filtration, & Algaecides http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=16+1917&aid=2259

Can I leave my uv filter on when using the sludge remover

  1. Thank you for your question. We would recommend that you turn your UV Filter off for about 12-24 hours after treating the pond with the Pond Zyme.

Is this product good to use in a natural pond? I have a 30' x 120' x 6' deep pond and need something to help with the sludge from fish and leaves. .

  1. Thank you for your question. This product is safe for use in a natural pond. Directions for use are available on the more information tab.

Can this be used in a pond that does not have fish or a pump to make the water clear & also remove sludge & algae?

  1. Thank you for your question. The PondCare Pond-Zyme with Barley is made to break down debris and sludge that clogs up pumps and filters, however it should still work without having a pump.

Can I use Pond Zymo with Barley if a have snails in the pond?

  1. Absolutely. Barley is just a plant. Enzymes occur naturally in any pond. This just kick starts the process of breaking down gunk. Wont hurt snails one bit.
