Hi , can I use to clean algae? My aquarium is all green.
- The best thing for green water is a uv sterilizer. I had that issue about 4 years ago but not since I got the uv sterilizer. I use the 9 watt in my 29 gallon tank.

I have two gold fish that live in a 55 gal tank. The water is clear, but brown starts to accumulate on the inside of the glass, and on the ornaments in the tank. I have been using a few different water treatments, the water is clear. I use a sponge tank scrapper to get it off of the glass, but the ornaments are all covered with brown. Is there a fish or something else that would clean that stuff up?
My goldfish has blood in his find. I searched what it could be and found a website that took me it was ammonia poisoning or something and I just needed to clean his tank. He's 8-9 years old and I got him from Mejier. I came home from school today to find him floating on his side. He let's me reach in and grab him and I noticed that his entire back side from his anal fin to tail was losing scales. He is in a 20 gallon tank with another goldfish, 2 plecos, and an albino shark. All of my fish died after using a product purchased at Petco called ACUREL-F. How do I get their water safe to put in new fish?
I recently got my goldfish (very small) and I put him in a 5 gallon tank (new tank with conditioned water and filter). He swims around very fast and up and down the tank walls. When I feed him flakes, he chews really quickly and then spits it out. I can’t tell if he actually eats anything. The ammonia levels are a little high (3.0) so I put in some ammonia fixer. All the other tests seem normal. Is there anything else I can do?

I have a black moor gold fish who has a severe case of Popeye I quarantined him in a separate , but I’m not sure what medication to use for him .
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.

My pond goldfish had swim bladder issues so has been inside for 6 weeks. He was pretty active and I brought in another to keep him company. Since Feb 1st, he is at the bottom, eating a bit especially when I drop it right in from of him. No external signs of any disease that I can seen. Nitrites are high as tank is cycling. I am adding Prime, aquarium salt (1 gram) and 30% water changes. Nitrite converting bacteria is establishing now. Any thought on what it could be and what to do? Thank you
