Bottles must be switched....

After testing my water, the pH was high and the alkalinity tested high as well. I used pH down and the pH went up. I think the bottles are switched, and I don't want my fish to die because of a factory mistake!

No matter what the PH is, it always indicates high PH. Adding PH down numerous times did nothing.

I have extremely hard water to the point it leaves me slider turtle with a white cast on his shell when he fully dries. I’ve tried every water conditioner there is. pH down combined with conditioning his shell has really brought him back to life.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is it okay to add pH up or down while fish are in the tank ?

  1. I haven’t done it with the fish in. I would recommend googling it. I don’t think it would harm the fish but I could be wrong and I don’t want to be the reason your fish is dead.

How many drops do you add to test, my solution has no directions?

  1. 2 drops per gallon of tank water. Hope you figured it out!

Can i use this testing kit for a saltwater fish?

  1. No you need a salt water kit,

How often can I test the water and treat it before testing again? There are no fish in the tank yet.

  1. Hi Baileymw1, We suggest that you call or visit the nearest Petco store in your area and speak with our aquatic specialist for detailed assistance. Thanks
