- Bettas are simply exotic looking freshwater fish, nothing special is required for bettas over other freshwater fish, other than isolation for males, females can be put in community tanks. so if it is safe for freshwater fish, it is safe for bettas.

How to do clean water which fill in aquarium if doesn't have water conditioner?
Is there a thing such as adding too much water conditioner? I use reptisafe for my African dwarf frog.
We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.

When I change the water in my fish tank, after I add the appropriate amount of conditioner, a white fuzz seems to appear on all the objects in my tank, aside from the fish. My flowerhorn tanks water has exptremely high nitrate level . I returned from vacation yesterday to find a cloudy tank and high levels nitrate . I did a 50% water change and added prime . Hello, I have a betta and I'm sure he has moderate fin rot. Thing is I have him in a 1.1 bowl because I broke my bigger 2.5 gal tank. Ive been doing water changes and recently bought aquarium salt, bettafix, and Tail and Body Cure from API but I'm not sure how to use it in such a small tank w/o a heater... I know its such a bad environment but its not for long. I just need my betta to last a weak till I get a decent tank. Could you please give me a suggestion. I greatly appreciate your time.
I accidentally bought ich x for saltwater. I’m wondering if I can use it in my freshwater tank?
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
