- Bettas are simply exotic looking freshwater fish, nothing special is required for bettas over other freshwater fish, other than isolation for males, females can be put in community tanks. so if it is safe for freshwater fish, it is safe for bettas.

- Just add from the packaging. I added right after a filter and water change and it's been clear since.
