An amazing way to keep your fish friends happy and healthy is by regularly testing your aquarium water with the API 5-IN-1 TEST STRIPS! These strips are super easy-peasy to use and help you measure Nitrite, Nitrate, Carbonate & General Hardness, and pH levels found in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Your fishy pals need water that's similar to what they would find in their natural habitat to thrive and stay strong. Poor water quality can lead to stress, sickness, and even death for your aquatic buddies! So just dip a strip into your aquarium, check the color-coded chart, and voila - you'll know if adjustments are needed. Follow the recommendations provided to treat the water, it's as simple as that!

Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina
Hello, I have a betta and I'm sure he has moderate fin rot. Thing is I have him in a 1.1 bowl because I broke my bigger 2.5 gal tank. Ive been doing water changes and recently bought aquarium salt, bettafix, and Tail and Body Cure from API but I'm not sure how to use it in such a small tank w/o a heater... I know its such a bad environment but its not for long. I just need my betta to last a weak till I get a decent tank. Could you please give me a suggestion. I greatly appreciate your time.

When I change the water in my fish tank, after I add the appropriate amount of conditioner, a white fuzz seems to appear on all the objects in my tank, aside from the fish. I’ve had the tank for over a year now and it happens on all the water changes. My fish seem to be unaffected (I have 4). What could potentially be happening?
Hello, my dog’s wellness blood work and urinalysis results just came back. He has a pH of 8.5 on his urinalysis. Is this something to be concerned about?
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
