Unfortunately they stopped working in less than 30 days. Theses are also my second pair in less than 6 months. They just don't make them the same anymore.

I went to Petco to buy this clippers, but they didn’t have it in stock so they offered to have it shipped to me which I agreed to. Well the shipping was fast, but i was very disappointed to receive what looks to be used clippers. they are scratched and the blade looks like it’s been used. It’s definitely not new so why charge full price if they’re literally used. I will be returning this ASAP. 😡

Great clippers, light weight, gives very detailed cut at a much faster pace. I’ve been using Andis ultra and was happy with it until I saw the light, definitely not going back. Only regret was ordering from Petco, they promised free same day delivery but today I received an email saying next Wednesday which is 6 days after the original order.

Powerful clippers, great for thick coats and mats

Love the clippers for cutting the thick coats of my Wheaten Terriers, which have both the wiry American coats and the more silky Irish coats. I bought them after rescuing a Wheaten whose coat was basically one giant carpet of mats. I couldn’t get make a cut into that mess with the Oster A5 that I had. The casing does get hot before long, like most other clippers. I have to take a number of breaks when doing an entire grown-out coat.

Great clippers! I have groomed my Goldendoodle three times now without any problems. I use the lower settings for paw pads, under belly, ears etc. I bought extra blades from Buttercup and Wahl’s metal comb guards to replace the plastic ones that it came with.

Do I need to buy a #30 blade for this model SMC Andis 5 speed Excel in order to attach the combs? Also is the #30 blade shorter cut than the #10 blade?

    Professional groomer here. You can use 10, 15, 30 or 40 under the guard combs. I prefer the 15. It fits nicely in the combs and cuts hair evenly. #10 blade is longer than the #40.

What is the guarantee on this clipper? How many years? And can I get more blades?

    Andis normally offers a 2 year warranty, but it's through Andis, not Petco. You can get more blades, yes. The clippers come with a #10 blade which cuts very close to the skin, so you will more than likely need more blades and/or guard combs.

bought this clipper for my 4 longer haired dogs. Have an older Andis clipper w guides/combs that I was told would work on this one, but they do not fit.  Can I purchase guides/combs to fit this clipper?

    Yes you can buy attachment combs to go with the clippers that are not plastic. Careful: Whatever you buy you cannot put combs on any blade, some attachment combs require a #30 blade or the blade will break.
