Questions
Do I need to buy a #30 blade for this model SMC Andis 5 speed Excel in order to attach the combs? Also is the #30 blade shorter cut than the #10 blade?
- Professional groomer here. You can use 10, 15, 30 or 40 under the guard combs. I prefer the 15. It fits nicely in the combs and cuts hair evenly. #10 blade is longer than the #40.

What is the guarantee on this clipper? How many years? And can I get more blades?
- Andis normally offers a 2 year warranty, but it's through Andis, not Petco. You can get more blades, yes. The clippers come with a #10 blade which cuts very close to the skin, so you will more than likely need more blades and/or guard combs.

bought this clipper for my 4 longer haired dogs. Have an older Andis clipper w guides/combs that I was told would work on this one, but they do not fit. Can I purchase guides/combs to fit this clipper?
- Yes you can buy attachment combs to go with the clippers that are not plastic. Careful: Whatever you buy you cannot put combs on any blade, some attachment combs require a #30 blade or the blade will break.
