Great, Affordable Clippers

TheGSDpack

These clippers worked quite well for what I used them for! I do not own a dog that needs their body clipped, but I do have German Shepherds that grown long fur in between their toes, which can cover their paw pads and affect their traction. I use the clippers to shave out the long hair between their toes, and it works wonderfully. I love the pretty blue color of these clippers, and the cord is long enough to not be much of a hindrance, but I admittedly do prefer a cordless clipper for ease of use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy to use, perfect starter kit for grooming. Comes with clipper, different attachments, shears, nail clippers, and comb. Got this to try my hand at grooming my dog. It was easy to use and my dog didn’t complain about the sounds. He’s usually pretty sensitive

Quality Clipper Kit for the DIY Groomer

Rescue Mama

I was honored to receive the Andis 12 piece pet grooming kit for light to medium coats for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Since I work in dog rescue and deal with many dogs that haven't necessarily received adequate grooming for various reasons, this was a good product to try on a few different senior rescue dogs that needed basic grooming. I am not trained in dog grooming, but really wanted to try using it with a few of my skittish rescues because I always worry when dropping off rescues at the groomers and not being allowed to stay in the rescues sight. The sights and sounds of that experience, without at least one somewhat familiar face, can stir up even more anxiety for some rescue dogs. The first feature I noticed with these Andis' clippers was that they were relatively small in size, making it easy to fit in my hand, and the box listed the Andis' clippers as being quiet which I was hoping would calm the dogs' anxiety. For each dog, I started at the base of the neck and worked back towards the tail so the rescues did not feel closed in by their faces. I was surprised how well the rescues tolerated the hair clippers without reacting to its hum. I had to use the shears very gently around the ears, paws and rear end since all three dogs had some matted clumps of fur in those areas and none of them liked to be touched, washed or gently combed in those areas. The one thing I really wished was that the nail clipper had a source of light on it so that I could see the quick of the nail easier (somewhat translucently in the nail). Additionally, if this grooming set had some narrow blade to cut down the extra fur embedded within the paw pad, it would have made the nail trimming easier. None of the senior rescues liked when I tried to cut the extra overgrown fur in that paw pad area, and I was a little afraid that due to some of their anxiety, the resues might try to bite me. Luckily no one did. After I was done grooming, I appreciated how well the clippers cleaned up with a simple lightly wet paper towel. Plus, it was nice to have a soft storage case to keep everything in upon finishing with the grooming so the pieces in this grooming kit could stay all organized together in one contained place. The motor did get warm over time, but when I would turn off the clipper and give a good five minute massage break to the dog getting groomed, the clipper cooled down fairly quickly so I could resume the grooming. I think that helped calm the rescue dogs too. Overall, I was pleased with the softer sounding hum of the motor and the ease of switching through the different blades for the different areas of the body. This Andis' corded clipper kit would be something that would be worth buying and using for future work with the rescues. It was easy to use as a DIY groomer!

For dogs, but works for cats too

While the product explicitly states that it is for dogs, we had a kitty with a major dingleberry problem that needed grooming assistance at home. The clipper was easy to use and maneuver around a kitty bum. The motor wasn't too loud, though any motor is too loud for an angry kitty with poop and litter on his bum.

Yes, I recommend this product.

The Andis EasyClip Blade

Reliable and durable. The Andis EasyClip Corded adjustable blade is an excellent addition to your dog grooming routine. With the adjustable blade it's perfect for trims and haircuts. More reliable than a cordless blade and pleasantly weighted in the hand.

I really like this product. I only use clippers for my dogs paw pads and sanitary shaves so I know I might not be getting the full effect of the product. These clippers work really well and were very simple to use. They are relatively quiet and even my skittish dog didn’t mind getting her paw pads shaved.

Clipper set

Atlas

I’m supper excited to receive this clipper set. My pomsky atlas gets groomed every 4-6 weeks but he could use a little cut around his butt area between grooms. I’ve always just used a designated pair of scissors but this will work so much better.

Great dog (or cat!) Clippers

These Andis clippers are great. They come with several attachments, cleaning oil and brush, nail clippers, and a soft carrying case. They are not too loud... even my cats weren't scared! My dog is a husky shepherd mix with pretty thick hair. These clippers glided through it without a problem.
