Wood shavings not available anywhere though listed
I used to buy these wood shavings regularly for our special needs rescued horses and donkeys with laminitis of the hooves for something soft for them to stand on. We really depended on our shipment. Sadly Petco stopped shipping this item to home and only made it available as shipped to store for pick up. I then proceeded to try to find a local store for pick up close to me and there is none they ship them to. Even tried others states and not available for store pickup there either. This product is not available anywhere and if it’s not available anywhere it needs to be removed off Petco website.

Used to be great, quality has dropped
I normally love this bedding, it used to be very soft, fluffy and absorbent and only had a light woodsy smell. My most recent orders however have been more like shredded mulch instead of soft, fluffy shavings. They're not nearly as absorbent, I have replace them more often, and they smell strongly of fresh pine. I also have to pick out many large, sharp sticks of wood, which could be dangerous for my animals. Hopefully it's just these recent batches and the quality will improve. 10/19/2023

What Happened To The Quality Of This Product?
I have been buying this product for awhile now and happy, but the last 10 bags I ordered for my horse stalls was awful quality, not to mention, it was 8 cu ft per bag, now it is 7.5 cu ft per bag, so less product as well. The last shipment had LARGE sticks of wood, not fluffy and soft like it was. It was like pouring large wood pieces in the stalls instead of soft bedding. What happened to the quality of this product? It wasn't like it was only one bag, ALL 10 bags were the same poor quality. This type of product can possibly cause serious injuries to my horses! I would give a zero star if it was an option!

Great value!
I'm really pleased with this product. With all the recent rains here in So. Cal., my whole chicken yard has become a smelly mucky mess. Two of these bales is more than enough to dry up and deodorize the area. I also fill the nest boxes with it. I especially appreciate the very low dust it puts out. It's soft and clean. It's a great value.

Happy, warmer chickens
Oh, yeah, my chickens are sitting pretty in their nice looking, clean, warm coops; loaded with this bedding. Eggs are cleaner, chickens are warmer, bedding looks nice, lasts a long time. Packed densely, so it fills my coops with one bag. Nontoxic, fairly low dust, use as fertilizer after cleaning out coops. Great product, plastic packing used well since it is pressure-packed, arrived quickly. Highly recommend!

Smaller bag than other 8 cu ft bags
I’m disappointed that these bags are much smaller than other 8 cu ft bags I’ve been getting. Too bad because I normally purchase at least 50 bags at a time.

What exactly are these chips from? Obviously, cedar chips are toxic to most animals so, does anyone know what kind of chips these are?
- The chips are pine chips .They are light and fluffy and don't have much of a smell.
