This cone lives up to it’s namesake! The padding is substantial to provide necessary comfort and the fabric felt thick and durable. The fabric appeared to be something that should clean easily. However, I did return this item as it does have a black interior, and my puppy could not transition from a bright clear cone to the dark cone.

I will have to rerun it because it runs small then the size supposed works for and also is kinda hard for my pet neck

I was told told that this would arrive when I needed it: one day after my 7-month-old Standard Poodle's neutering. It just came--four days later. Even so, I cannot use it because the large is short at only 10." I will return it.

The extra large cone was just exactly the right size for our oversized (tall, but thin) yellow lab. The cone was a vast improvement over the hard plastic one provided by our vet. Our dog's regular collar fit through the elastic loops, and he was clearly much more comfortable with this softer material as were we when he ran into us. Wish I had purchased it sooner.

Pros: Comfort and durability. This cone does stay rigid enough to be effective at large sizes while still being soft and padded. I've had a smaller one get handed down through 3 "generations" of dachshunds in our family. Now I got this large for my beagle. It is a little smaller than I expected (but I may have measured incorrectly) but I think its actually the ideal size for a comfy cone on this dog. If I really needed to ensure he couldn't push the tip of his nose past to get to a longer extremity, then I might need a size up, but in that case it would be huge and I wouldn't want a comfy cone that big on him or he wouldn't be able to see anything. Cons: At a certain size, it begins to obstruct their view. This is the trade off with all cones - the clear plastic lets more light and visibility in the peripheral, but soft fabric ones that are comfortable do not. As long as the area you don't want them to lick isn't on an extremity and they can't push it down their neck and leave their nose hanging way out, you can go for a slightly shorter fitting cone and they can see well in the comfy cones. There does seem to be something that the smaller sizes perform better (on my mini dachshunds, their visibility while being fully effective is better).

Excellent product - far better than the stiff cones. I have an extra collar which I used with this cone, and that made it very easy to put on/take off. My dog adjusted almost immediately to it. I think the fact that it is much quieter when he bumps it into things helped a lot, plus it is obviously comfortable when he's resting. Sizing guidelines were good.

Very disappointed that my girl could still reach her incision after spay surgery

We had to return this item. The cone is only 10 inches deep ( wish this info had been on website). Our pointer's nose stuck out and she could still chew her back foot raw. Return at store was easy though.
