Just like you, your puppy or dog is a unique individual and their feeding requirements will vary with breed, environment, age and activity. That's why we suggest using the feeding guide as a starting point, and monitoring your puppy or dog's weight and adjusting amounts as needed. We also recommend feeding your pet twice daily and always keeping fresh, clean water available. When switching diets, it's important to transition your dog or puppy as it takes time for their digestive system to adapt to the nutrient levels in ACANA. Over a 5-7 day period, gradually mix in ACANA, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% ACANA. See your veterinarian regularly. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing it in a cool, dry location.

Best inexpensive boxer dry dog food
hello, i have been feeding my dog raw kiblets and would like to switch him to dry food. my vet suggested science diet however i noticed it has a lot of synthetic materials. i would like your opinion on this brand Acana. here are some of the ingredients "Deboned chicken*, deboned turkey*, chicken giblets* (liver, heart, kidney), turkey giblets* (liver, heart, kidney), chicken meal, catfish meal, whole green peas, red lentils, pinto beans, pollock meal, chicken fat, chickpeas, green lentils, "
I am trying to find a healthy , natural dog food for my dog , he is a 75lb coon dog , he's been on blue buffalo for some time now, he eats very little of it every day , I recently have been looking into other good dig foods , my friend feeds her dog Bill Jac dog food , she gave me some to try and my dog seemed to love it , but I was reading the ingredients and it states that they use 5kbs of chicken to make a 6lb bag , but it also says that they only use the chickens organs for it ! Is this a he
I'm not sure what to be feeding my puppy. He is 5 months old and weighs about 40 lbs. We were told his mother is Aussie and Border Collie mix while dad is Kelpie and lab mix. We have tried some different foods and have disliked some of them. Beef is not an option for him - causes digestion issues. Is grain-free good/bad? I've read both: good for fiber sources but bad, may be linked to heart disease. Are by-product meals as bad as people think they are? I need affordable: one dollar/lb or less.
What is the best food to feed a 55-pound highly active hound? I was told to switch to grain free, but her stool has been mucous like and runny. I've tried Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient (I've tried chicken, beef, sweet potato) and American Journey Limited ingredient (lamb). Just looking to find the best dog food for a very active hound that won't break the bank. Also, I'm concerned with all this news of heart problems linked with specific foods.
Hello, I recently found out about DCM in dogs from grain-free diets. I use Orijen food for my 1.5 y/o. It has great ingredients but I don't want to take any chances, are there any brands you would recommend for a large (85-95lbs) lab/Pyrenees mix dog that is about one and a half years old?
What type of food ingredients would be good for a German Shepherd? Grain free?
My dog is on Acana singles (grain free) should I rotate between 2-4 protein sources or just pick one? What is better for her health? Also is my dog overweight? She is about 18 pounds. (18.3 today) also are these treats ok or are they junky? Why or why not?
A lot recommend royal canin but the first ingredients are chicken by product, wheat and corn. It's rated 2.5 on dog food advisor. How is this good?
I have a 9 week old male golden retriever, mom is 50lbs, dad is 58lbs and the breeder has him on Purina Puppy, which I want to change him off of as fast as possible. Out of the three, which BB food is best? 1)Freedom Puppy Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food 2)Life Protection Chicken & Rice Puppy or 3)Life Protection Chicken & Rice Puppy Large Breed?
I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. I did research & came across these dry foods: Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Merrick Limited Ingredient Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Taste of Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free Smoked Salmon, Taste of Wild Appalachian Valley Small Bree’s Grain after Roasted Venison. Are any of those good, if so which one? Want to stay chicken free.
