Just like you, your cat or kitten is a unique individual and her feeding requirements will vary with breed, environment, age and activity. That's why we suggest using the feeding guide as a starting point, and monitoring your cat or kitten's weight and adjusting amounts as needed. We also recommend feeding her twice daily and always keeping fresh, clean water available. When switching diets, it's important to transition your cat or kitten as it takes time for her digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ACANA. Over a 5-7 day period, gradually mix in ACANA, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% ACANA. Use a standard 8-ounce measuring cup. Serve dry or lightly moistened. See your veterinarian regularly. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing it in a cool, dry location.

After some quick advice on feeding my cat. She's 9 months old and getting fat already. She's an indoor & cat run only cat. We currently feed her dry food (kibble) that's labelled for kittens under 1 year, which we keep topped up in her bowl continually, and cooked chicken/lamb hearts/kidneys twice a day. Should we change the kitten food to adult indoor cat food instead? Do we need to stop having dry food in her bowl all the time? She's an otherwise healthy, happy cat. Thanks, Ali.
What less expensive cat food brand is healthiest for both indoor and outdoor cats? Is it better to use dry or wet food?
I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. I did research & came across these dry foods: Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Merrick Limited Ingredient Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Taste of Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free Smoked Salmon, Taste of Wild Appalachian Valley Small Bree’s Grain after Roasted Venison. Are any of those good, if so which one? Want to stay chicken free.
Nutro, Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Taste of the Wild or Rachel Ray Nutrish for dry cat food? Cat has no known allergies or health conditions. Open to other recommendations. Want high quality and natural food that is healthy
What should I look for when buying cat food? Blossom likes wet but she occasionally throws up ( especially if it's in gravy or sauce) and Kenwood likes dry but will also eat Blossom's food if available. Right now Blossom is eating Purina Pro Plan and Kenwood is eating Fancy Feast Filet Mignon and w/ seafood and shrimp. Both are inside cats with little to moderate activity . Blossom is 9 years old and Kenwood is 3 1/2. Kenwood is a big black cat and slightly overweight while Blossom is small.
Hello, Skye is a 8 months old healthy kitten, she eats Weruva wet food (rotation of different flavors) and Purina veterinarian diet Essential care for kitten dry food she's kind of getting bored with the dry, I'd like to keep her eating wet and dry food.
