Just like you, your cat or kitten is a unique individual and her feeding requirements will vary with breed, environment, age and activity. That's why we suggest using the feeding guide as a starting point, and monitoring your cat or kitten's weight and adjusting amounts as needed. We also recommend feeding her twice daily and always keeping fresh, clean water available. When switching diets, it's important to transition your cat or kitten as it takes time for her digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ACANA. Over a 5-7 day period, gradually mix in ACANA, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% ACANA. Use a standard 8-ounce measuring cup. Serve dry or lightly moistened. See your veterinarian regularly. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing it in a cool, dry location.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend the new canna cat food with chicken and turkey. He really enjoyed it. He didn’t have any issues with it and every time I go to put it down he runs for it and he’s a very particular orange cat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kitty really enjoys this Acana food! I haven't heard of the brand but was really interested in how healthy it seemed and the flavors. My cat really liked it! He couldn't wait to eat it everyday and I feel like he's happier now because of it. Good food does make a big difference. It gives me peace of mind knowing it's healthy for him too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat loved her new cat food and I’m sure we will continue to purchase this for her. My cat loves the crunch texture of the food and she practically begs for more after she has eaten her serving. She loves the chicken and turkey flavor the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat really enjoyed eating Acana. This is a kibble flavored of chicken and turkey, and herring, she loved it! This is great since she's indoors and this formula supports weight management. It also offers hairball control, which happens every now and then. Theseindoors and this formula supports weight management. These ingredients are superb. I have now transitioned her to this. I received this in exchange for my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Acana Indoor Entree is packed with quality ingredients! I was surprised by the quality when I read through the ingredients label on the back. I had to transition my cat slowly due to her sensitive stomach, but she had no issues with this food. She's still finishing up the bag, but it's been weeks and we've had no hairball/ vomiting incidents. She was also suffering from some hair loss due to flea bite dermatitis at the start of this trial, but her hair has grown back in nice and shiny, due in part to this nutritious food. She loves the taste, and she can be picky. As long as the price point stays competitive I'll purchase more. I'd recommend this food!

A hit with all of them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm always nervous introducing a new food to my cats, they can be extremely picky but this indoor entree dry cat food by Acana was a huge hit with all of them. I love that it's offering flavor combinations that I don't usually see and that the first ingredient is meat. My cats are all indoor only and with the exception of the youngest, a bit on the lazy side, so I like that this is formulated for cats like mine. The pieces of kibble are a good size, not too big or small. None of the cats had any kind of stomach or digestive issues while switching them over or after they were exclusively eating this kibble. I've noticed less shedding and dandruff in my one cat's coat, which until this food, had been an ongoing but not serious issue but one I'm glad is under control. They all love the taste, they make sure they aren't fed even a minute late and leave nothing in their bowls. I think that I'll definitely be keeping them on this food for the foreseeable future.

Questions

My cat should weigh 12#. With A an a food, how much should he have per day? Two are seniors.

I've spent a fortune trying to get my newly adopted 8 1/2 yr old male to eat something healthy. Is there any way to get a sample or a small bag of this? I end up giving away giant bags of food and I can't keep doing this.

    1. I would go to a local pet shop. A lot of times local shops will have free samples you can take home. One of my local shops does that. The cat food companies give them little sample bags to hand out. A big chain store most likely won’t do that tho. Just a thought.
