We were thrilled to find this food —Lamb&LambLiver— which we could feed our sensitive little girl, in lieu of a prescription food. Acana (and sister brand Orijen) are made with whole foods. The vet-recommended RX diets, touting “limited ingredient” or “single/hydrolysed protein” or food sensitivity” are NOT made with premium ingredients, despite their high prices. This Acana can has lamb, lamb liver and bone broth (chicken & beef) — no fish, no chicken meat … and kitty liked it! But not any more. To this NEW recipe, they added chicken. For our cat, it’s essentially poison. Now we have to look elsewhere.

Pate with good texture and just the right amount of moisture. Helps my cat who has IBS/IBD get some variety.

My 20 year old kitty has been struggling with IBD and finally he’s responding well to this food. He loves it and it’ll now be my go to food for him. It may be more expensive than some foods but it’s worth it and saves on frequent vet visits !!

Ingredients are great. The price is awesome. Food smells amazingly even for human nose. I can’t be happier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant to try acana lamb + lamb liver bone broth because i canbevery picky at times but i was surprisingly pleased with it.

This is a good quality cat food, that my cat enjoys. She will only eat pate-style wet food, so I am happy the Acana brand went with the pate style for their wet food. She normally eats chicken flavored canned cat food, so I wasn't sure if she would like the lamb, but she does. This size container is a little large for one cat, so I do prefer when companies offer the smaller sized portions (but they are all packed in plastic, which is not the best). Also, I was unable to find any Acana pate for cats that was strictly chicken, or chicken and some other meat. All that was available was chicken combined with some type of seafood. I don't let my cat eat seafood because of potential mercury contamination, and, it is not her favorite flavor, either. If I had one suggestion, it would be to come out with other canned varieties that are meat (rather than seafood and meat). For example, chicken and duck, chicken all by itself, chicken and beef, beef all by itself, etc. Right now, I am just grateful that they finally started making wet food for cats. As my cat is getting older, she has lost some teeth, so being on a strictly Acana dry food diet is not ideal for her. Thank you, Acana.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat isn’t a very picky eater, but he definitely prefers wet food. He doesn’t always finish his cans but he finished this one pretty quickly, and seems to really enjoy it.
