I am looking into buying a new cage for my Syrian hamster and my current cage is a total of 288 in.² total it's 16 inches in width 12 inches in depth and 18 inches in height. I found two cages I want to choose from the first one being a total of 953 in.² total with a length of 30.7 inches a width of 18.9 inches and a height of 19.7 inches. The other one is 271 Square inches total with a length of 13.75 inches a width of 11.25 inches and a height of 21 inches. Which cage would be better?

I have a few questions about an ackie monitor. I want to eventually get one to add to my babies. Right now I have my beardie Loki, he is my baby. Can I build a wire cage with wood bottom half to allow soil nd sand mix for digging? Can I keep his cage outside like I do lokis? I don't see why gets a light when natural uvb is always better. I'm looking to get this cage. The chart says it's good for two guinea pigs, which I have. In the comments a lot of people say their two guinea pigs were happy. But I just wanted to be sure. I'm thinking about getting this cage and then getting another later on to attach to it and expand it. What do you think?
