Excellent quality. Two happy birds.

A Bowden

I have owned A&E cages in the past. I had to purchase 2 new ones after Hurricane Michael destroyed ours. These house an African Grey and an Orange Winged Amazon in our pool enclosure. They are the same great quality I’m accustomed to with this brand. I was thinking that having 2 to assemble was going to take a while. My husband and I had them done in less than 2 hours! On a sidenote, our two birds had been housed in a double decker cage since the hurricane, approximately 10 months. The Amazon had not seen the African grey and could only hear him. I sat there two cages side-by-side in the pool enclosure. When the Amazon saw the African grey, all he could say was pretty bird, pretty bird! The African grey would kiss him back. They are so happy to be back in the sunshine.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Would this cage be suitable for an umbrella cockatoo?

Would this cage be good for an African Grey?

What is the bar spacing on this cage? Would it work for a green cheek conure? I'm trying to find a larger upgrade for my little dude :)

My blue and gold macaw is getting older, possible arthritis. He has 2 toes on one foot and 3 on the other. Has a hard time holding on. It is time to move from the huge walk-in to a cage he can do better in. Will this cage work for him?

        1. Once you get settled on which cage to get, Focus on the size of the perches to help him. My cockatoo is an older rescue that has a broken foot that never got attention. He can use that foot to move around and stand, but he uses it more for a stump to steady himself. He really has little use of the back toes. He constantly is putting the foot up & down, possible due to discomfort. (We give him anti-inflammatories for the arthritis & pain). He can’t stand on the bad foot to eat, and he can’t grasp food with it to eat standing on his good foot. He can climb around the cage wire. So - I tried an 8” gnarly perch - not smooth, but big & thick with curved uneven surface, and placed it a few inches from the regular perch. If I turn it to one position, he will take a larger piece of fresh fruit to the gnarly perch and can, for the first time, stand on his bad foot and eat his fruit by holding it with his good foot. The other side of the gnarly branch doesn’t fit just right to his foot.  He is a happy bird. He can’t use his claws as normal, so they got long enough to curl around almost to stick in his foot - now he goes regularly for nail trimming, which helps him maneuver even better.  Good luck with your bird!

would this cage be good for a severe/mini mccaw - also how tall is this cage - it is very similar to the other we had for our severe but we want to make sure - thanks

Would this work for 2 cockatiels? Is bar spacing to wide?

Would this cage be good for a green winged macaw?

            1. No, it is definitely too small for a Green Winged Macaw.

What are the interior dimensions? Would this be appropriate for a Caique?

            1. 32 Wide x 23 Deep x 41 Interior Height. This would be a good size for a Caique.

Would this cage be ideal for finches?

            1. No, the wires are spaced too far apart. I have this cage and I checked to see if it would work for my finches and they can slip out between the wires.

What is the actual size width, height, and length?

            1. Hi kizi420, Here are the details. • Exterior Dimensions: 32" x 23" x 63" • Interior Height: 40" • Bar Spacing: 2/3" • Bar Gauge: 3.5 mm The dimensions do not include the seed guard which would add about 6 inches to the width and length (38 x 29 x 63). Thanks
