The 4-Line Pictus Catfish have a sleek, fine-scaled body that is silver with 4 stripes. Pictus Cats also have barbed spines on their pectoral and dorsal fins. Be careful of these when handling your fish and consider using a container to catch or move them. Pictus Cats can grow over four inches long, are highly active, and social animals. We recommend that you keep them in groups of five or more, which will allow you to see their full social nature. Larger peaceful fish will be ideal tankmates for your Pictus shoal. They use their sleek form and speed to gobble up any morsels quickly - watching them feed in a large group is not unlike watching a frenzy of piranhas! Offer them a variety of pellets, frozen foods like shrimp, blood worms or any other small invertebrate food and they will put on a show for you!

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

Hi I recently got six fish and four of them are good but two of them which are the same type of fish haven't eaten anything ever since I got them I don't know if it's the food. And one seems lost and keeps bumping into the tank and they usually stay in one place and one of its eyes are turning black. They are the black ones in the photos. Thank you

My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.

Hi, I had a bettas fish and a clown pleco. A day after doing a complete cleaning of the tank, my better fish died and my pleco started acting weird. I tested the water. Ph 7, ammonia 0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0. He is not eating, his skin started to look like white, like shedding? And now is like coming off. Also, his belly is bloated. I attached pictures.

I have a freshwater fish in my aquarium that I cannot identify. It resembles a Mosquito fish but is lighter in color, thinner, swims differently, and has what appear to be sparkles on its sides. I caught it with a net in a school of mosquito fish but it is different. it was the only one in the school that looks the way it does. I found it in the shallow part of a lake in Florida. Please help me identify it.
