Dog birthday cakes are made from ingredients that are safe for dogs to eat, such as whole wheat flour, oats, honey, applesauce, and mashed bananas. Some popular flavors for dog birthday cakes include carrot, banana, and pumpkin. These cakes are usually sweetened with honey or natural fruit purees, and they may also include dog-friendly toppings like yogurt frosting or peanut butter.

I want to throw my dog a birthday party and i found a cake for dogs recipe and ice cream for dogs. Should i give him both cake and ice cream? Not a lot but just so he can have a bit of each or would that be to much on his stomach? He’ll be turning 1 for his birthday.

Melanie, what are some of the better or best treats on the market for dogs and why? Thank you!
i recently bought my dog the Three Dog Bakery Cake Mix for a treat, i made cupcakes with it and I gave him 2. i noticed earlier that he has these bumps or scabs on him making his fur stick up a bit and didnt know what they were. i thought maybe he could be having an allergic reaction to the cupcakes or if they could be some kind of bug bites? he has at least 4 of them. any idea of what it could be and how to get rid of it?
Hello. I am currently feeding my 1 year old cat Royal Canin Selected Protein PR Dry Cat Food due to his food allergies. All is good and well with the food but I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for treats? He cannot have chicken or seafood of any sort. I've tried PureBites and he wouldn't touch them. Any brands of treats that you guys recommend? I am also open to making homemade treats if that's a good place to start.

What is the best type of food and treats for my 5 lb Chihuahua?
Yesterday was my dog’s birthday, I baked her a all-meat chicken/veal cake with lactose free yogurt frosting & some fruit, these are things she has eaten before without issue. She had some of the cake at 9pm. This morning she went potty and I gave her her usual Golden Paste in some raw mince (she’s raw fed), and not long after she starts to repeatedly swallow and lip licking, then went outside and eat grass. Swallowing has settled a little now but could it be the cake? no diarrhea or vomiting
