Trixie has irritable bowel & eats Royal Canin Selected protein rabbit pea for 5+ years.shes not been eating as much.vet did bloodwork & xrays& found nothing wrong. Ive tried the duck flavor& she still was not interested. My vet has prescribed a short trial prednisolone b/c when she was first diagnosed with irritable bowel 5 yrs ago pred was prescribed for decreased appetite & for a short while she had hi levels of Calcium which normalized after pred. Any thoughts on this drug for trixie’s issue?
Hi trixie is 11 years old and I read in an article that this age is considered geriatric and a senior food is now important.. my question is, she’s eaten royal canin Rx diet selected protein pea/rabbit for many years now due to irritable bowel and id be afraid to change because of how well it’s cured her irritable bowel. Is this food considered a senior diet? Thank u
Is Triflex a generic version of flea and tick medicine? My grandma said she used it, but I think she meant Trifexis. I just want to be sure.
hi! Trixie has been on Leukeran & prednisolone therapy for 1 year for small cell lymphoma. She has had quarterly checkups & ultrasounds with the oncologist & is doing very well. The only change in the last 6 wks is the development of a cyst in her liver which has not grown in the last two ultrasounds and the doc considers stable. Since we’re at a year mark of chemo, the oncologist is telling me that it’s my choice now to either stop Leukeran or continue for 12 more weeks. Any recommendation?thx
Hi Trixie has eaten wet Rx Royal Canin rabbit pea selected protein for many years due to IBS. Recently my vet gave me a can of duck pea to try because she has seemed to grow tired of rabbit. She told me to offer her both and let her choose. trixie is mainly Choosing duck but is still taking a few bites from the rabbit pea bowl too. If it doesn’t irritate her IBS can she have both ? Is It ok to mix? She also still likes her rabbit pea dry food. Thanks!!
Hi! 1) I have given 1st shot of tricat vaccine to my persian at the age of 4months, when should i give the booster doses. 2) How to deworm. (1kg), doses and intervals please. Thank u!!
I gave Tripp this flea and tick pill that is supposed to be given daily. Ever since he’s been taking the pill, 3-4 day, he’s been acting funny. He’s been acting like he doesn’t want to use the bathroom as in peeing. As far as defacating he used to let me know but he’ll just use it in the house now. He seems to be scratching more and getting out of breath which he’s never done. Also he acts like he has something caught on the side of mouth but it’s nothing. Kinda like he’s twitching in his mouth.
my 11 year old Trixie has irritable bowel for 6+ years & was prescribed rx royal canin selected protein rabbit & pea when she was diagnosed years ago has loved it ever since. She sees her vet every 6 months &is due next month. this week her appetite has been off. She vomited her food once about 4 days ago & today didn’t want breakfast at all. I put some tuna on top & she ate!! Could she be tired of rabbit pea& what else can she eat with irritable bowel? She’s had a 1/4 pepcid each day thIs week
Hello, i have a 3,5 years old male boxer. I used to give him Trifexis, but due to how he reacted to it, i strted using Firstshield Trio instead. Which he is fine with, i have him on an essential wellnes plan with banfield pet hospital. So after i stopped using Trifexis, my question now is what do i for worm treatments ? Do i need to purchase that separate and give him monthly as he goes twice pr year to the hospital for check ups, would they give him something that would last 6months at a time ?
Using triflexis but planning switch to Simparica(flea&tick prev)&Heartgard(heartworm prev).Nikki's unknown allergies, eating fish food for almost 4 months, just started using Earthbath oatmeal&aloe shampoo(fragrance free)&will start taking omega suppl soon.Currently licks her paws a lot so I would like to know if Simparica,Heartgard&shampoo are good choices.I read oral meds could cause itching but I prefer chews, oatmeal is soothing but what if she's allergic to grains? Comments please. Thanks !
Thanks for reply jig is currently taking pexion and phenobarbiral for epilepsy .
Trixie has history of IBD &has eaten Rx rabbit pea for 4 years. her appetite is down, she seems hesitant to jump off counters &beds as if she may have pain so my vet checked her&did labwork. Labs are normal except for hi white blood cell count (24,000). She is sending her for a intestinal biopsy b/c of her IBD. While I’m waiting to have biopsy I switched her food to hills Rx i/d digestive care and she is eating good. What could this hi wht blood cell count mean?.Related to pain she may be having?
