I thought the purpose of cleaning a litter box of a cat on chemo with gloves was so that I don’t get the chemo drugs on me from his urine/feces. Is that incorrect? Gloves are just hard for me with a wrist brace. I do NOT administer his chemo drugs, they are done through an IV at the vet. I’ve been sanitizing my hands/feet along with the litter genie (where I put the urine/feces so the other cats can’t get it), but a previous question said that’s not necessary. Am I just being too obsessive?
Fawn uses her litter box , but turns around in the litter box and urinates so it goes outside of the box and the litter box is a very large litter pan with high sides.. She is the only cat that uses the pan. I have tried different brands of litter, but she still does it.
I have adopted 6 stray cats and they have been with me for the last 1 year. They have well settled in. One of them, I don't know who has been pissing outside the litter box( not around the house or anywhere) urine is always found under the litter box. They are all 2 years old, spayed and litter trained. Is the litter box small for them? 3 male, 3 female. Litter box is fine. Urine is under the litter box. Attaching pics.
How to understand and prevent my kitty from eliminating outside of her litter box? Have tried switching litter, tried feliway, cleaned the litter box area more often. Nothing seems to help.
What's the best way to teach kittens to litter in the litter box ?
My 3 months old kitten keeps pooping outside the litter box she’s 50/50 she poops in the litter and also poops on the floor equal amounts of the time she only goes in the same place under the table, I’ve put 2 litter boxes under the table but she still prefers to poop on the floor I’ve placed extra litter boxes there are now 4 litter boxes and I’m using kitten attract litter my dads getting really upset and said if it continues we have to Rehome she’s been checked by a vet but there’s nothing w
I have tried EVERYTHING to get Scruff to use her litter box. 1. Multiple types of litter 2. Diffuser 3. Putting her in the litter box 4. Putting the box in a quiet place 5 . adequate number of litter boxes She has been to the vet, she's healthy. I don't know what to do, She just will not use the litter box. Any suggestions? She is about 3 months old, previously feral. Very friendly, adapting well to inside except for this issue.
I caught my cat licking the cat litter multiple times already, what should I do? His current litter is a clay-clumping litter. I decided to switch to this litter (attached picture). Is this litter safe for the cat even if he licks it? Thank you!
Hi, I just received the answer concerning Scruff's litter box issues. The vet suggested: 1. Litter Attract ( Dr.easily) 2. Sand, dirt 3. News paper I have done all of these in addition to everything else I wrote in the first post. I have : 1. Used covered / Uncovered litter box. 2. Placed the box in quiet place 3. Tried putting her poop/ pee in the litter box 4. Used diffusers 5. Put her in a large dog crate with the litter box. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is working!! HELP!! Thank you!
I’m sorry to continue this way, but needless to say, all my money is going to vet bills. I asked about litter previously (one cat on chemo, two cats not, cannot be separated) and the wonderful person that responded that as long as I’m cleaning the litter regularly, things should be ok. Does that mean scooping the litter? Or throwing out every bit of litter multiple times a day. Obviously with clumping litter I get as much as possible when I scoop but I can’t guarantee I get 100% of it.
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
I bought 14 months old cat before a week but she forgets to use litter box always when she is in cage near litter box only that time she uses litter box other wise she poops every where what should I do?
