I think my dog might have a tapeworm what can I do?

My 6 year old boxer/bulldog mix rescue has been diagnosed by our vet with deep pyoderma along with furunculosis and folliculitis. He has been prescribed Zeniquin, Doxycycline and on a tapered dose of Prednisone. Everything seems to be healing with the exception of his paws and interdigital furunculosis. It seems to clear up when given a double dose of the prednisone (vet advised use only when paws seem to be extra sensitive). What would you recommend?

I think my pug has hotspots on his cheek, however I have never dealt with them before so I wanted to know if that is what it looks like he has, as well as how to treat. Or if I should just bring him in to the vet and have him looked at in person.

I have a 15 year old female Chihuahua. Her companion, another Chihuahua, died a year ago. Over the last couple of months she has started to bark for attention constantly...a single bark about every two minutes. We live in a two story and we don't allow her upstairs but we cannot go upstairs without the barking starting. We have tried sitting with her for while but it starts as soon as we leave. Wondering if she is lonely? Would getting another dog help with this?

My dog has allergies and has been put on Prednisone long- term. We had tried prescription allergy pills but they did not work very well. I also tried special diets with little success. She is doing better on steroids but has gained a lot of weight. How can I increase her exercise without harming her?

My 10 week old kitten got neutered a week ago. I was given misguided advice and was told it was safe to bathe him a week after surgery. But ever since that bath he's been acting off, not eating as much, meowing all the time, and today started peeing on my bed. With a dog recently diagnosed with Discospondylitis, taking Clyndamycine (present) and Metacam (just finished) - could you expect drowsiness? Our dog's head drop's and he dozes off while sitting and sleeps a lot in general. He is also a bit un-coordinated after waking. There seems to be a pattern of good days and bad days with energy but the pain has all subsided. Does this sound normal in recovery of this disease?

Hi petcoach, I have an 11 year old dachshund and in the last 6 to 8 months he's had these reoccurring blotches, hair loss, and skin peeling. It looks like sores but not the red tender kind, they always look like its healing but it keeps popping up. When I first was it I took him to the vet n we did 3 rounds of antibiotics, I also started giving him omega 3 fish oil. Seemed to help n they went away, now they're back. Please help.
