I have had my dog since he was 5 months old. He seems to have a difficult time walking. I have been to many veterinarians, but not one has able to provide a diagnosis. What could be wrong?
My 4 1/2 year old schnauzer/jack russell mix was given a steroid shot and vetalog for paw allergies. 8 days later he started vomitting a lot of undigested food. Then he couldn't keep down any water or food.took him to vet and they gave him nausea shot and a test for pancreatitis that came back positive. He was better for few hours then stopped drinking. He was very lethargic and shallow breaths. Rushed to ER vet. He was in liver failure, and had blood clots in throat and died. Did steroid do this?
My cat has been having ongoing diarrhea for about 4 days now that I have known about. I’m not sure what has been causing it since he is adjusted to the food I’m giving him (so I think). When we got him from the shelter they said he had intestinal problems but they didn’t go into detail and said that it hadn’t shown up in a while and it should be gone so I do not know what to do.
My Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix has had to stay in her pet taxi/ kennel for up to 13 hours a night. Due to night shift-job. She hasn't had any accidents in the kennel. However after I'm home for a little while she starts having accidents in the house. She's a year and a half old and weighs 7lbs. Is it unhealthy for her to hold her urine and stool that long ?
My dog is 16 years old. Over the last year, she has developed a pink bump that has only gotten larger, on her stomach. My questions are, is this cancerous? Does she need surgery or will a shot suffice? I have done a little research and have learned that this is common. However, I would like an experts opinion before taking further action. Thank you.
Both my girl and boy have a ringworm. Her on the back of her ear. Him on his nose. I took them to the SPCA today and they said it's sometimes due to stress especially if an animal's just been spayed or neutered which Spencer was very recently. They gave me a lime medication to treat them with and I'm just confused as to whether I am to treat just the area or their entire coat. Also am I to drop mineral oil in their eyes because it's so close to their face because that's what I thought I understo
I recently adopted a rescue dog. The first day home he barely ate. Day 2, he started to eat a little. Day 3 he has diarreha dark and once with red jam looking mucus. A few hours later it was a peanut butter brown. He is eating more. Note he is on meds for anxiety daily. Should I be concerned or wait until he gets settled in.
I have a female cat. Would it be fair on my female cat to buy a male kitten and have it in the house around her or would my 7 year old female not like that.
I have a 4 month old pit and today he just hasn't been himself. He has hardly eaten or drank. He's slept most of the day with is odd because he is super high energy. I tried to get him to play and noticed that there was some blood on his toy. I checked his teeth and one of his back teeth is severely broken and was bleeding. Could the pain of his tooth be causing his behavioral changes? I finally got him to eat some canned food, but he still doesn't seem to want to play or do anything really.
I have a male lab 5 months old we had him from 3 months and have been feeding him the same food to date, we feed him twice daily and feed the correct amount of food advised. He has also been worked to date. Our concern is that when he does a number 2 he goes about 3/4 times one after the other, the first being fairly solid and the rest quite sloppy, is the food maybe too rich for him? It’s a top brand and is grain free also
