My 8 week old pup cries constantly during the night when crated, even if I’m with him, what sort of chew treat etc is safe for him to keep him occupied, he’s happy and content just bored. I do have a Kong on its way but until then what can he have to cure his boredom?
Hi my dog called Bronson he's 5 1/2 he's been licking and bitting he's paws for mouths now and he's bitting the black bit he's paw off he's makeing them really sore and he's really focus on doing it don't know if he's doing though boredom or if he as a allergic reaction to something
My hamster scratches himself a lot and he appears to have a small cut behind his ear but is otherwise healthy, what could this mean? The cut is not bleeding but it is red, he's very fluffy and is super active so it's hard to see very close. Is he scratching excessively because of boredom or something else? He has a cage that is 450 sq inches. Can I do something for him? Maybe he has allergies?
hello, i have recently moved in with my grandparents who have an 8 month old lab retriever puppy. she has boundless energy & has developed a chewing problem due to boredom. they take her on extremely short walks, over feed her, and don't regularly bathe her. she has bad behavior around other dogs & is barely leash trained. ive offered to take her on longer walks, as i am much younger than they are, but they flat out refused as they dont see a "problem". should i still help out the best i can?
Lately my dog has been chewing on things like the carpet and the baseboard, I’m assuming from boredom. I walk him 4-5 times a day but me and my other family members work so sometimes it’s challenging to get him to the park or have him off leash to play since we live in an apartment complex. Is there anything we can do to dismiss this behavior? Any chew toy recommendations to keep him occupied during the times we aren’t home? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
My dog has been licking at his paw for a month now and I had looked at it previously and didn’t see anything and thought he was licking it because of boredom but now I’ve noticed it’s lost all the hair and I can see it better. It’s now red and looks like it has clear ooze coming out of a small open area. I had soaked it in apple cider vinegar 50-50 with water and put coconut oil on it but wondering if I need a topical cream?
I currently have one cat. She has many toys, a cat tree, scratching posts, a window to watch from, and I play with her for atleast 10 mins each day. However, I find that she does get bored and hyper at times where she starts running around and chasing her tail, which is a sign of boredom I suppose. And No matter how much I play with her, say 30 minutes, she asks for more. Do I need to get a second cat for her? What is a solution?
According to my research, a tail straight down , not in between his leg, just outside of it and it doesn't move like in this picture, the third picture in particular, it would mean it's submissive and concerned. And if it's licking anyone a lot it "could" mean that it's Obsessive licking which may be a sign of underlying issues, including anxiety, boredom, or fear. So would it mean that my dog if he licks a lot and has that tail low like the pic, that my dog is anxious? Or am I overthinking?
So the past two nights my dog (14 months) had scratched at the wall (Very distinct spots), a new spot each night. He has full access to our room (so he’s never alone), we walk him before bed (11pm-12am), all his toys are in access at all times of the day/night. He is Neutered and Vigorously runs daily. What could be causing him to dig at the wall? With all the things we can provide I don’t believe it to be anxiety or boredom! He doesn’t act out nor has this happened before.
Hi! My kitten (6mo) has a voracious appetite and doesn't seem to ever be full. We've gotten him dewormed recently (within the last 2 months) but the behavior is consistent. He eats Science Diet kitten food + Fancy Feast canned food, 3 to 4 meals/day. He tries to steal everyone else's meals, and I can't tell if it's out of boredom or genuine hunger. His coat is glossy and he's of a normal weight. He also has one of those 'skin pouches', but I'm very worried it might be a health condition! Help?
My dog has a weird injury on his leg. We were at the vets and the vet gave him antibiotics and new I am giving him 1/4 of augmetin twice a day. The original wound was starting to get better but then he started biting his leg again (he managed to bite through the Elizabethan collar) and now he is creating a new wound. How do I make him stop biting it? I started walking him more than before because the vet suggested it was because of boredom. I can't be with him all the time and he'll hurt himself
My back yard is really plain a boring, and my 2 rabbits look really bored. They don’t play with toys
