Questions
How often does the water need be be changed out with these? Can you use them with a filter in the tank?
- These leaves (also known as Indian Almond leaves) produce tannins that darker the water (like a cup of tea). While some people don’t like the look of the darker water, it’s healthy for the fish. The water should be changed on it’s normal schedule and they are filter safe (although some filters will remove some tannins). These leaves are great, but this is very overpriced. You can get a very large pack for $10 on Amazon.

My female betta has dropsy what can I get her
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.

My daughter put three betta females together.. They were fighting to the point where fins were lost.. I took the aggressive betta out.. The injured two are together getting along. What can I do to help them heal?
My betta's fins are curled and his left fin has changed color (silvery - like his body). I'm not sure if it's fin rot or something else. He eats twice a day and is still fairly active, although he seems less active than before. I've tried quarantining and using salt and added Indian almond leaf.

I bought a betta fish at petco on Sunday. He seemed good, until today. I came home from work and I see he started making nest bubbles, but his fins suddenly look clumped and he has white and blue on his body. He looks sick. I don't know what it is and how to help him. He is in a 3.7 gallon tank alone. I put conditioner and biological booster in the tank. There is a filter and thermometer is reading 80 degrees. I have given him food pellets and he tries to eat, but spits it out. He was all red.
