Simple and Attractive

The cage is attractive and roomy, and the bar spacing is ideal, especially for small birds. It is easy to put together. Tighter clamping of connection points might be necessary to be certain they don't dislodge if the cage will be moved around. Leave as is if you would like to have the option of collapsing it for storage if you have other cages or will use it for travel or a temporary home when cleaning or visiting away. For little birds who have developed the skill of opening different types of doors (sliding up or swinging open) and "escaping", additional door security might be advisable as you would probably be using already.

Yes, I recommend this product.

You and Me Bird Cage

I bought two of these cages as short term homes for my two parakeets until I could get them a larger cage. They get the job done, they’re sturdy, and there’s enough room for them to live in short term, but birds are meant to fly and these cages do not provide them enough room to get substancial exercise or flight in their day to day life. Overall it is a good cage but I would not recommend it to anyone to keep as a birds permanent home, rather it should be used as a temporary cage while cleaning a larger one. I don’t want to give this cage a BAD review because it isn’t a BAD cage, just not enough room for a long term home. My birds are content but will be much happier when they’re in their bigger home ♥️ I suppose leaving this review is my way of advising new bird owners of what to expect/utilize this cage for

I like this cage. Only problem is, I’m having trouble finding replacement dowels to fit the cage. Can’t find any in the size required. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas?

Nice travel cage- not a permanent home!

This is a very nice travel cage - it buckles up on my front seat perfectly, so if you are taking your bird to the vet, or going on a road trip, visiting family - it is great! however, if you buy this as a permanent home for your parakeet - that is animal abuse. This is not suitable to house a bird permanently. Again I love this as a travel cage, I love the big front door but this is not big enough to permanently house your bird... the smallest cage you can get for one bird is the 30x18x18 but I would recommend going bigger and getting a proper flight cage (35x30x20). Summary: good travel cage, easy to set up, clean and store, easy to travel with as you can buckle it up on your front/back seat, but THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT BIRD CAGE, not big enough to permanently house a bird.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good and cheap, but not great

Bought this cage for a parakeet as quarantine/travel cage. Size is okay, if the bird can be outside of the cage, too. Would not recommend as permanent cage for any bigger bird or several birds. It is easy to assemble and I like the large door. Yet it rattles a bit when the bird moves - so not too sturdily constructed. The bars are mostly vertical - which I think is not optimal, as my parakeet likes to climb which in this cage he can't. Still - not a bad option for such a prize.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can you purchase grate separately ? If so, where? Thank you!

  1. Haven't needed to replace the grate, so I regret I cannot help. Try contacting the company? Good luck!

Is this cage okay for just 1 budgie?

  1.   I think it's too small for one budgie.  I just got it as a back up cage in an emergency if I had to take my bird somewhere.  The cage is not very sturdy.  It's OK for short periods of time but I wouldn't make it my birds permanent home. My budgie has a 22 x20 cage that is his permanent home much bigger and sturdier.

Is this a cage that is big enough for 2-3 budgies

  1. No, you are going to need a much bigger cage because they will need to be able to fly around and stretch their wings at times its only big enough for 2 birds, and that only if you are letting them out to fly around

Is the grate in the bottom of this cage removable?

  1. Yes, the grate is removable.

Is this good for one cockatiel? Size wise

  1. I think it would be a little too small. It measures 22" tall, 16" wide and 11" deep. An article I saw online says they should have 24" tall, 18" wide and 24" deep.

does the front door open to the left or to the right?

  1. It opens toward the right.

Is this cage easy to disassemble and reassemble? I need something that is easy to set up and take down, but I haven't been able to find anything suitable that is collapsible/foldable (suggestions welcome!).

  1. Yes, it is pretty to put together and disassemble. Three sides are connected and fold down, the 4th side and the top you have to attach but is is pretty easy. Note this is a travel cage, not a permanent cage.

Does this cage come in a different color? My bird does not like darkness.

  1. Hi NeedsInfo9, It is currently available in one color. Thanks,

Is this cage good for 1 lovebird

  1. This is not big enough to permanently house any bird, this is a nice spacious travel cage.

Is this ok for 2 finches?

  1. No, this is not a good cage for any bird. It is way too small even for a single finch. You could purchase this cage as a travel cage that your birds would only be in for a couple hours or less. Also, the doors on this cage don't look like they include the door safety feature that keeps the doors shut until a human opens them. If you are looking to get an appropriately-sized cage for two finches, I recommend this cage: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/prevue-hendryx-large-black-flight-bird-cage I have this cage and I use it for my finch & budgie (they live together) and there is plenty of room for them to fly around. It's a flight cage, which is what finches and budgies need to exercise. If you are looking for a more affordable option, I recommend this cage that you can use until you get the money to buy a bigger, better cage: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/you-and-me-finch-rectangle-flight-cage Remember to use clips to "lock" any guillotine (sliding) doors so your little finches can't escape!
