This is a very dangerous product for pet birds. Hard backing of the cuttlebone when ingested can injure the lining of the GI tract, causing pain and bleeding. Cuttlebone is not recommended by avian veterinarians.

What are the exact dimensions of each cuttlebone? One size fits all is not a size. Cuttlebone can be sold in many sizes.

  1. Hi aBirdy, The SKU 2680652 below measures 4” x 1.5” x 0.5” This is a natural product, so the size won’t always be exact. Thanks,

Does it come with instruction for the metal clip? Do they tell you how to put it on the cage? Do they even work, or am I better of buying a separate cuttlebone holder instead?
