I bought this for my pet dove. I got it off discount and I'm happy with how it is. Like what other reviwers said, it is flimsy and I have to zip tie it to the base. it often slides around. luckily since my dove is not active like most other birds it has not been an issue. If you have active birds please do not get this cage. This cage is also too small for a dove so it's more of a night cage.

It’s a piece of crap. It’s not sturdy at all. Don’t buy this.

I have had this cage for about a year. It is a good size for my cockatiel. Over time, I have had to use zip ties to keep it together and sturdy. I must caution that the legs of the stand are very dangerous. My bird was out of the cage and was going to the cage when he landed on the floor near the leg of the stand. He caught his neck in the “v” of the leg. If I hadn’t been right there, he would have died. I used black tape to wrap around the legs to prevent it from happening again.

Great cage BUT people should NOT be buying it for Budgies. It is suitable for medium birds such as ringneck parakeets but not small birds like budgies. The bar spacing is too far apart. A budgie could push their head through and not be able to pull back in. This could kill them if you are away from home if it happens. Bar spacing for small birds should be closer together.

I bought this about a year ago but the water dish has already turned rusty on edges so it wasn't stainless steel. That's a problem now trying to find an alternate dish to swap it out. The cage would comfortably hold two to three cockatiels.

It was wonderful and simple to put together. Though the bottom seems a little less secure but that's nothing a few zip ties couldn't fix!

I bought this to try as a second cage for my two older cockatiels, hoping that despite the reviews that I had read, it would be OK. Not even when I travel would I consider this safe. It comes in pieces that clip together. The pieces are not straight therefore when you clip them together with the few clips there are the cage does not match up well. There are wide spaces at the edges of 3/4 inches That can get even wider depending on how bowed the pieces are. The roof doesn’t fit smoothly on the top. The open door, the larger one, is wavy on the bottom so the birds can’t sit on the open door frame and the other two door perches are too wonky. The bottom grid of cage not stable at all. I could see myself having to rebuild this cage at each destination especially the base. In summary, great size, I would not consider this safe for my birds especially for their feet as one other reviewer had said. I had hoped it would be suitable as a travel cage, but it is too flimsy. I didn’t even attempt to put the stand together based on what I’d seen with the cage. What is disappointing and I hope something Petco will consider is that there are no cages on display. There should be one display cage so people know and can see what they are buying before they buy. This is important when you are considering many different factors for a bird. I asked someone add a store could I see a piece of the cage and the response was no. I was so disappointed with the attitude in the store I purchased this online in the hope that it might work. It didn’t. The last thing I want to say is that this is so expensive for the quality. You can buy a good solid A & E cage for about $20 more and if you are looking for a permanent good home for your bird I would recommend one of these rather than tying this together with zip ties as others have said they did.
